Police Incident Report for April 12 to 18


The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, April 12

No arrests were made.

• Suspicious activity was investigated on Highwoods Drive at Mirror Lane. An anonymous caller reported that a white Ford Taurus was stopping at each house on Highwoods. No deliveries were made from the vehicles. The Taurus was last seen headed toward Mirror Lane.

Friday, April 13

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 9 Dunham Drive at 9:25 a.m. Someone attempted to open a credit card account in California using the name and social security number of the complainant.

• Harassment was investigated on North Madison Road at 10:20 a.m.

• A complaint about check fraud was investigated at 37 Hopmeadow Circle at 11:25 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Little Meadow Road at 11:01 p.m. The occupants of a vehicle were seen knocking down mailboxes at residence numbers 1581, 1373, and 1131. No description of the vehicle was provided by the complainant. The vehicle was last seen headed toward Route 80.

Saturday, April 14 to Sunday, April 15

No arrests were made.

Monday, April 16

No arrests were made.

• Criminal trespass was investigated at 147 Lakeside Drive at 8:40 a.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A complaint about fraud via flimflam was investigated at 95 Wheeler Path at 1:45 p.m.

• A report of a missing adult was investigated on Whitfield Street at 4:38 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A noise complaint was investigated near 65 Whitfield Street at 10:27 p.m. Someone was power washing a roof.

Tuesday, April 17

• A 27 year-old New Britain man was arrested at 8:18 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and six counts of violation of a protective order.

• Criminal mischief was investigated near 58 East River Road at 2:38 a.m. Someone applied spray paint on the Interstate 95 overpass.

• A burglary was investigated at 148 Whitfield Street at 9:57 a.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

• Suspicious activity was investigated at 360 Race Hill Road at 10:28 a.m. Police could not locate the parties involved in the incident. All additional details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A larceny was investigated at 337 New England Road at 4:38 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.

Wednesday, April 18

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated on the 500 block of Durham Road at 11:11 a.m.

• A noise complaint was investigated at 605 New England Road, Guilford High School, at 3:24 p.m. Blaring rap music was coming from the school fields. The complainant reported that this was the second time in a week of blaring music, and asked police to have them turn down the music. Police learned that warm-up music was being used for a baseball game and all was in order.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 271 Laurel Brook Drive at 4:25 p.m. The complaint wished to document attempted Capital One bank fraud.

• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 655 Boston Post Road at 5:16 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 43 Meadow Hills Drive at 9:26 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.
