Police Incident Report fro Feb. 14 to 27


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

• A 45 year-old Meriden woman was arrested at 12:11 a.m. and charged with illegal manufacture, distribution, or sale of prescription drugs.

• A 49 year-old woman of Clintonville Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:50 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and misuse of plate.

Thursday, Feb. 15

No arrests were made.

• A 31 year-old man of unrecorded address was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:51 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Friday, Feb. 16

No arrests were made.

• A 31 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 3 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and criminal impersonation.

Saturday, Feb. 17 to Tuesday, Feb. 20

No arrests were made.

Wednesday, Feb. 21

• A 37 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:20 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 58 year-old man and a 62 year-old woman were arrested at 9:20 p.m. Each party was charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act.

• A 52 year-old man of Monroe Street was issued a citation at 5 p.m. for failure to vaccinate a dog or cat against rabies.

Thursday, Feb. 22

No arrests were made.

• A 36 year-old Branford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:20 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Friday, Feb. 23

• A 22 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 1:15 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree and forgery in the third degree.

• A 40 year-old Waterbury man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:34 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to register a commercial vehicle, and improper license classification for vehicle driven.

Saturday, Feb. 24 to Sunday, Feb. 25

No arrests were made.

Monday, Feb. 26

• A 53 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree.

• A 39 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 5:45 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 38 year-old Hamden woman was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 51 year-old woman of Macarthur Road was issued a citation at 12:46 p.m. for possession of a vicious/barking dog and permitting a dog to roam at large.

• A 56 year-old man of Bailey Road was issued a citation at 6:42 p.m. for possession of a vicious/barking dog and permitting a dog to roam at large.

Tuesday, Feb. 27

No arrests were made.

From Feb. 14 to 27 North Haven police issued five citations to motorists for failure to obey a proper lane, four citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, four citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, two citations for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, two citations for traveling unreasonably fast, and two citations for failure to obey state traffic control road markings. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to grant right of way, failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat, failure to obey a stop sign, improper passing, failure to renew registration, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, failure to registered a commercial vehicle, failure to obey state traffic commission road markings or signs, having window tint without a DMV approval sticker, and speeding.
