As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, Feb. 1

• A 46 year-old woman of Captains Walk was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A larceny was investigated at 5 Pepperbush Drive at 8:14 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 20 Killingworth Turnpike at 2:10 p.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at 20 Killingworth Turnpike at 7:17 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 3

• A 46 year-old man of West Main Street was arrested at 10:20 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 31 year-old Ansonia woman was arrested at 5:01 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A lockout was reported at 3 Osprey Commons at 7:58 a.m.

• A lockout was reported at 156 Cow Hill Road at 9:19 a.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at 114 East Main Street at 2:53 p.m.

• A burglary was investigated at 7 Walnut Hill Road at 1:54 p.m.

• A report of an intoxicated person was investigated at 56 West Main Street at 2:50 p.m.

Sunday, Feb 4

• A 20 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 3:45 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

Monday, Feb. 5

No arrests were made.

• A larceny was investigated at 54 Fairy Dell Road at 7:08 a.m.

• Harassment was investigated on the 100 block of West Main Street at 3:39 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

• A 20 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 3:35 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree. While in custody he was also charged with three counts of failure to appear in the first degree and one count of failure to appear in the second degree on outstanding warrants.

• A larceny was investigated at 5 Walnut Hill Road at 1:47 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

• A 19 year-old man of Walnut Hill Road was arrested at 8:55 a.m. on warrants charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the first degree, one count of failure to appear in the second degree, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

• A 56 year-old man of James Vincent Drive was arrested at 1:57 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle crash on Rocky Ledge Drive at Killingworth Turnpike.

• A burglary was investigated at 201 Killingworth Turnpike at 1:45 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 235 East Main Street at 5:19 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 8

• A 33 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 12:55 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A domestic dispute was investigated below the 100 block of West Main Street at 5:30 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 9

• A 45 year-old man of Circle Drive was arrested at 7:52 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 21 year-old man of Walnut Hill Road was arrested at 8:19 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

Saturday, Feb. 10

• A 58 year-old man of Liberty Street was arrested at 9:50 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree.

• Threatening was investigated on Liberty Street at 8:44 a.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at 20 Killingworth Turnpike at 3:19 p.m.

• A 44 year-old man of Mary Mac Loop was arrested at 5:41 p.m. and charged with electronic stalking.

Friday, Feb. 16

• A 27 year-old Glastonbury woman was arrested at 9:15 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle investigation of Wildwood Park Road.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries and rescue was investigated in front of 20 Killingworth Turnpike at 9:35 a.m.

• A report of an intoxicated person was investigated at 170 East Main Street at 1:07 p.m.

• A juvenile issue was investigated on Glenwood Road at 1:21 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Brush Hill Road at Heritage Park Road at 1:24 p.m.

• A 21 year-old man of Long Hill Road was arrested at 12:10 a.m. and charged with failure to pay or plead to a citation.

• A chimney fire was reported at 1 Slocum Road at 5:44 p.m.

• A juvenile issue was reported on Harbor Parkway at 8:27 a.m.

Monday, Feb. 26

• A 60 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 10:50 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A juvenile issue was investigated on Fairy Dell Road at 9:18 a.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 100 block of East Main Street at 10:37 a.m.

Westbrook

Thursday, Feb. 1

• A 22 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:53 a.m. and charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, commission of a motor vehicle violation within a construction zone, and interfering with an officer (non-assaultive)/engaging police in pursuit.

Friday, Feb. 2

No arrests were made.

Saturday, Feb. 3

• A 28 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 3:03 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a report from a concerned citizen about a male who was asleep at the wheel of a vehicle parked at the gas pumps at the Westbrook Mobile station located at 198 Essex Road. He vehicle’s engine was running. Troopers could not wake the man and had to break a window to gain access to the vehicle. A strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanated from the vehicle and, once awake, the accused failed a standardized field sobriety test. He was processed and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond pending a February 16 court date.

• A 46 year-old Branford man was arrested at 4:06 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct.

• A 25 year-old Higganum man was arrested at 10:15 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act. He was processed on a $2,000 surety bond. The 26 year-old alleged victim sustained minor injury to her face, but did not require medical attention.

• A 40-caliber magazine loaded with seven rounds was turned over to the Troop F barracks by an adult white female at 11:19 a.m. She claimed that the magazine came from a gun her son’s girlfriend had stolen from an unknown party in Florida. The girl left the magazine in the complainant’s Westbrook residence after her son and his girlfriend moved to New York. The case will remain open until the complainant’s son and his girlfriend are located.

• A criminal mischief incident was investigated at a Seaside Avenue residence at 7:41 a.m. The complainant’s vehicle was damaged within the last two weeks.

Sunday, Feb 4

Monday, Feb. 5

• A 23 year-old man of West Pond Meadow Road was arrested at 10:06 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

• A 19 year-old Higganum man was arrested on a warrant charging him with possession of child pornography in the first degree. The warrant was confirmed after police ran an inquiry on his valid Connecticut operator license. The warrant dated back to August 2016. He was unable to post a $100,000 surety bond and was held until arraignment.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

Thursday, Feb. 8

• A 36 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 10:42 a.m. and charged with violation of probation/conditional discharge and failure to pay or plead a citation. The accused was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by police for a traffic violation.

Friday, Feb. 9 to Sunday, Feb. 11

Monday, Feb. 12

• A 26 year-old East Haddam man was arrested at 1 p.m. on a warrant charging with criminal mischief in the third degree and failure to appear in the second degree.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

• A 28 year-old Essex woman was arrested at 10:23 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 30 year-old Durham man was arrested at 6:35 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

• A 22 year-old Middlefield man was arrested at 8:34 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Thursday, Feb. 15

• A 29 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 6:19 p.m. on a warrant charging him with issuing a bad check. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• An 18 year-old man of Dennison Road was issued a citation at 10:58 a.m. for traveling too fast for conditions. He was operating a 1983 Porsche 944 northbound on Deep River Road in Essex when his right front tire blew out and he lost control of the vehicle, he told police. The Porsche hit a curb on the right shoulder, which broke the tire and rim, and then struck a telephone pole. Careful examination of the crash scene revealed that the tire did not blow out prior to striking the curb, since there was clear evidence of a rolling tire (clear tread imprints) on the road prior to the front tire hitting the curb. Police determined that the front tire and rim broke apart when the vehicle struck the telephone pole, since there were chunks of metal rim stuck in the pole. There were no broken rim parts in the area where the vehicle drove over the curb. When this evidence was explained to the driver he then stated that he wasn’t really sure what happened and that he just lost control of the vehicle.

Friday, Feb. 16

• A 16 year-old was arrested at 11:34 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree (threatening a person on school grounds).

• A 30 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 9:57 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop for erratic operation. He consented to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

Saturday, Feb. 17

• A 49 year-old East Haddam woman was arrested at 1:29 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive upon the right. Police found the accused sitting on a guardrail by her vehicle, speaking with slurred speech with the odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from hear breath. She admitted that she had had a few drinks. She agreed to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

• A 25 year-old man of Toby Hill Road was arrested at 8:36 a.m. and charged with forgery in the second degree, larceny in the first degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree. He was processed on a $50,000 surety bond.

• A 44 year-old man of Economy Drive was arrested at 12:34 p.m. on a warrant charging him with violation of probation. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 50 year-old man of Toby Hill Road was arrested and charged with forgery in the second degree, larceny in the first degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree. He was processed on a $75,000 surety bond.

Sunday, Feb. 18

• A 22 year-old Killingworth man was arrested at 3:34 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, interfering with an officer (non-assaultive), and failure to drive right.

Monday, Feb. 19

• A 20 year-old Guilford man was arrested at 12:25 a.m. and charged operation of a motor vehicle by a minor while having an elevated blood alcohol level and reckless driving. The accused was stopped for speeding and consented to a standardized field sobriety test, which he failed to perform to standard.

• A 32 year-old Deep River man was arrested at 5:07 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics, failure to keep a prescription narcotic in its original container, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell (second time charged with this offense), possession of greater than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance, and carrying or sale of dangerous weapons. He was processed on a $50,000 surety bond.

Tuesday, Feb. 20

• A 23 year-old Chester man was arrested at 8:36 a.m. and charged with larceny in the first degree, forgery in the second degree, and conspiracy to commit forgery. He was processed on a $30,000 surety bond. The alleged victim was Verizon Wireless.

Wednesday, Feb. 21 to Thursday, Feb. 22

No arrests were made.

Friday, Feb. 23

• A 26 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 10:37 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening.

• A 56 year-old Durham man was arrested at 1:54 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 44 year-old Old Lyme woman was arrested at 7:07 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Saturday, Feb. 24

• A 52 year-old Middlefield man was arrested at 1:24 p.m. and charged with breach of peace, disorderly conduct, and interfering with an emergency call following an investigation into a domestic violence incident.

Sunday, Feb. 25 to Monday, Feb. 26

Tuesday, Feb. 27

• A 29 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 12:43 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the first degree.

• A 16 year-old was arrested at 3:14 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and disorderly conduct.

Old Saybrook

Thursday, Feb. 1

• A 31 year-old homeless woman was arrested at 8:53 p.m. and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 31 year-old man of Middletown Avenue was arrested at 11:57 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 40 year-old man of Schoolhouse Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:02 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension and creating a public disturbance on Ingham Hill Road at Elm Street.

• A 25 year-old Chester man was issued a citation at 7:13 p.m. for having excessive window tint, possession of a less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance.

Friday, Feb. 2

• A 30 year-old Ivoryton man was arrested at 2:36 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and use or possession of a controlled substance or hallucinogen.

• A 39 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:53 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Lynde Street.

Saturday, Feb. 3

• A 53 year-old man of Lynde Street was arrested at 7:01 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, interfering with an officer, and failure to have lights lit.

• A 25 year-old man of North Main Street was issued a citation at 9:16 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance following an investigation on Middlesex Turnpike at Obed Heights Road.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

• A 25 year-old man of Essex Road was arrested at 11:26 a.m. and charged with six counts of animal cruelty and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and held in lieu on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 32 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 7:40 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act.

Thursday, Feb. 8

• A 55 year-old man of Day Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:29 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license and traveling unreasonably fast following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street.

Friday, Feb. 9

• A 14 year-old was arrested at 11:54 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree.

• A 49 year-old woman of Boston Post Road was arrested at 6:58 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 26 year-old Essex man was issued a citation for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance.

Saturday, Feb. 10

• A 22 year-old woman of Ford Drive was arrested at 2:13 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and speeding.

• A 40 year-old was arrested at 10:44 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief in the second degree on the strength of a warrant held by the New London Police Department.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

• A 45 year-old woman of Westmoreland, New Hampshire was arrested at 3:27 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• A 49 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 6:14 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to display two headlamps.

• A 40 year-old Clinton woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:48 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to maintain the reasonable distance apart after a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road near Old Boston Post Road.

• A 21 year-old woman of Dorchester, Massachusetts, was issued a citation at 12:21 a.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance following an investigation on Essex Road at VFW Highway.

• A 28 year-old Deep River woman was issued a citation at 3 a.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia following an investigation on Boston Post Road at Chalker Beach Road.

Thursday, Feb. 15

• A 22 year-old man of Sherman Street was arrested at 6:14 a.m. on a warrants charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed on a held in lieu of a $5,000 surety bond.

Friday, Feb. 16

Saturday, Feb. 17

• A 25 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 11:59 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation.

• A 24 year-old man of Fencove Court was arrested at 9:29 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Sunday, Feb. 18

• A 19 year-old Deep River man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:58 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to obey a control signal following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Lynde Street.

• A 57 year-old Waterford woman was issued a citation at 11:46 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia following an investigation on Boston Post Road at Elm Street.

Monday, Feb. 19

• An 18 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 12:41 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, traveling too fast for condition, possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession near a school, and possession of alcoholic beverage by a minor. In the same incident, a 17 year-old was arrested and charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana as a minor.

Tuesday, Feb. 20

• A 17 year-old was arrested and charged with breach of peace in the second degree based upon concerns about the comments and actions of the accused youth as expressed by students and parents. The comments and alleged actions of the youth occurred over the past weeks and months. Police stated that at no time was evidence revealed that there was a credible threat against any school in Old Saybrook. “The [youth] that was arrested was remanded to state custody by a judge and will not be permitted on any Old Saybrook School Campus until such time it is deemed appropriate by the court and/or school officials,” a police press release stated.

Thursday, Feb. 22

• A 54 year-old woman of Briarwood Drive was arrested at 3:56 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 38 year-old man of Ridge Drive North was arrested at 4:39 p.m. on a warrant charging him with possession of greater then four ounces of a cannabis-type substance. He was processed and released after posting a court-set $2,500 surety bond.

Friday, Feb. 23

No arrests were made.

• A 22 year-old Bridgeport man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:33 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to renew registration, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Saturday, Feb. 24

• A 22 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 9:32 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay of plead a citation.

• A 49 year-old East Hampton man was arrested at 11:56 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Sunday, Feb. 25

• A 16 year-old was arrested at 9:49 a.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree.

• A 17 year-old was arrested at 7:01 p.m. and charged with possession of an electronic nicotine device, possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance.

Monday, Feb. 26

• A 26 year-old Norwich man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:33 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to have insurance, traveling unreasonably fast, and failure to renew registration.
