The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Jan. 24

• A 26 year-old Hamden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:11 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper use of marker plate, and failure to display lights.

Friday, Jan. 26 to Sunday, Jan. 28

No arrests were made.

Monday, Jan. 29

• A 25 year-old man of Mansfield Road at 9:30 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 31 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:28 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and traveling unreasonably fast.

Tuesday, Jan. 30

• A 26 year-old woman of Frost Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:44 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and having an improper rearview mirror.

Thursday, Feb. 1

• A 41 year-old Stratford woman was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 31 year-old New Haven was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:35 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and having a defective windshield.

Friday, Feb. 2

No arrests were made.

• A 34 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:27 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and misuse of plate.

Saturday, Feb. 3 to Sunday, Feb 4

No arrests were made.

Monday, Feb. 5

• A 29 year-old Brookfield man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:14 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

No arrests were made.

From Jan. 24 to Feb. 6, North Haven police issued four citations to motorists for traveling unreasonably fast, two citations of failure to obey state traffic commission road markings, two citations for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, two citations for failure to renew registration, two citations for violation of a school zone ordinance, two citations for speeding, and two citations for failure to obey a stop sign. One citation was issued for each of the following: using a hand-cell phone while driving, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, failure to obey a control signal, failure to cover a load, failure to register a commercial vehicle, making an improper turn, improper passing, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to reinstate a license within 60 days of expiration.
