Thursday, Jan. 11
• A 31 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:46 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 15 Mafre Drive at 5:01 a.m.
• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated a 29 Water Street at 12:29 p.m.
• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated in front of 712 Mulberry Point Road at 4:51 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 2200 block of Long Hill Road at 7:13 p.m. The complainant reported that her father damaged her truck.
Friday, Jan. 12
• A 59 year-old man of Granite Road was arrested at 9:10 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on Colonial Road at Old Sachems Head Road.
• A possible overdose was reported on Marvel Road at 5 a.m.
• A roaming German shepherd was reported on the 300 block of Clapboard Hill Road at 8:07 p.m. Police could not locate the dog.
• A complaint about a man setting up a tripod in the travel lane in front of 300 Leetes Island Road was investigated at 11:45 a.m. The man was gone when police arrived.
• A complaint about mail delivery trucks being tampered with during the overnight hours was investigated at 50 Shoreline Drive at 4:06 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 13
No arrests were made.
• Suspicious activity was reported in front of 1900 Boston Post Road at 2:22 p.m. A complainant reported that a white male in this 30s or 40s with blond hair (or bald) in a silver truck with an open bed was beating an unknown object in the rear of the truck for 30 seconds. The truck left on the Boston Post Road toward Branford. Branford police were notified.
• A domestic dispute between a father and son was investigated on the 2200 block of Long Hill Road at 3:56 p.m. The father was attempting to throw the son’s belongings out.
• Harassment was investigated on Highwoods Drive at 9:38 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 14
• As reported earlier, five men were arrested in a sting operation and charged with criminal attempt to commit risk of injury to a child and criminal attempt to commit sexual assault in the second degree. They included a 29 year-old Boston man (occupation: waiter), a 24 year-old Putnam man, a 41 year-old New Haven man (occupation: disability insurance), a 44 year-old Ellington man, and a 30 year-old New Haven man (occupation: unemployed).
• A burglary was investigated at 4500 Durham Road at 2:24 p.m. All details were redacted by police.
Monday, Jan. 15
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 2802 Durham Road at 1:54 a.m. An exterior pane of glass in a picture window as found broken. No access was gained. The interior pane was still intact.
• Criminal mischief was reported at 991 Little Meadow Road at 9:01 a.m. A mailbox and post were damaged.
• A larceny was reported at 1120 West Lake Avenue at 11:45 a.m. Coins were taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Tuesday, Jan. 16
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at 1675 Boston Post Road at 11:43 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 2070 Little Meadow Road at 12:51 p.m. A neighbor’s door was opened the day before and the complainant’s mailbox was damaged.
• A larceny was investigated at 1116 Boston Post Road at 4:36 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 17
No arrests were made.
• Harassment was investigated on Nortontown Road at 9:01 a.m.
Thursday, Jan. 18
• A 29 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 1 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and forgery in the first degree.
• A damaged mailbox was reported at 1430 Little Meadow Road at 2:53 p.m. It was believed the damage was done by a vehicle whose operator fled the scene.
• Peddling without a permit was investigated at 21 Boston Street at 4:49 p.m. A third party caller reported a possible fraud from a party representing T-Mobile.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 244 Church Street at 5:27 p.m. A caller reported an ongoing problem with a car being tampered with. The air was let out of the rear passenger side tire. Police believed the low air pressure (18 psi) was weather related.
Friday, Jan. 19
• A 45 year-old man of Lakeside Drive was arrested at 12:05 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 42 year-old woman of Summer Street was arrested at 7:48 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and assault in the third degree.
• A larceny was investigated at 65 Janeway Drive at 8:58 a.m. A vehicle was entered during the overnight hours. The glove box was entered, but nothing was taken. The caller took pictures of footprints in the snow.
• Police were informed of a vehicle repossession that was conducted at 274 Church Street at 12:18 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at 1162 Moose Hill Road at 12:37 p.m.
• Threatening via the Internet was investigated at 741 Boston Post Road at 3:04 p.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Barnshed Lane at 9:15 p.m. Occupants of a small to mid-sized sedan damaged several mailboxes with a baseball bat and then fled the area.
Saturday, Jan. 20
• A 55 year-old man of Pascoag, Rhode Island was arrested at 6:15 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 438 Little Meadow Road at 1:44 a.m. A mailbox was damaged.
• Harassment was investigated on Nut Plains Road at 11:42 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 75 Ruggles Road at 5:56 p.m. The complainant reported giving personal information to a possible fraudulent website.
Sunday, Jan. 21
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 500 block of Maple Hill Road at 1:53 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 22
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Wauwinet Court at 11 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 23
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud with a bank account was investigated at 77 Schoolside Lane at 12:16 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan 24
• A 46 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 12:30 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, credit card theft, and charging less than $500 on a revoked credit card.
• A complaint about bank account fraud was investigated at 19 Long Hill Farms at 1:59 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 130 Tanner Marsh Road at 5:36 p.m.
