The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Clinton

Wednesday, Dec. 6

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Glenwood Road at 1:42 p.m.

• Identity theft was investigated on Long Hill Road at 1:45 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 7

• A 21 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 8:42 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the third degree.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Ninety Rod Road at 7:37 a.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 8:51 a.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 2:09 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated on East Main Street at Beach Park Road at 6:23 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Captains Walk at 8:04 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 8

• A 34 year-old man of Killingworth Turnpike was arrested at 3:08 p.m. on a warrant charging him with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 11:38 a.m.

Saturday, Dec. 9

No arrests were made.

• Threatening was investigated on Glenwood Road at 6:57 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Fairy Dell Road at 10:03 a.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Frederick Place at 2:21 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 7:31 p.m.

• The theft of a motor vehicle was investigated on Lionel Avenue at 8:02 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 10

• An animal bite was reported on Whitewood Road at 2:51 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 11

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated on Nod Road at 9:11 a.m.

• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 9:30 a.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Kelseytown Road at 1:32 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated on Commerce Street at 2:14 p.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Partridge Lane at 2:55 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 12

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on East Main Street at 1:35 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 5:51 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 13

• A 17 year-old and a 15 year-old were arrested at 4:09 p.m. Each juvenile was charged with larceny in the sixth degree for shoplifting on Killingworth Turnpike.

• A 35 year-old Plainfield woman was arrested at 6:41 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the first degree.

• A passing of bad checks was investigated on West Main Street at 9:18 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 14

No arrests were made.

• The passing of bad checks was investigated on Kelsey Road at 2:25 p.m.

• Shoplifting was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 8:54 p.m.

Westbrook

Wednesday, Dec. 6

• A 20 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 10:42 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer and breach of peace in the second degree. He was processed on a $15,000 surety bond.

Thursday, Dec. 7

No arrests were made.

• The passing of counterfeit bills was investigated on Essex Road at 4:22 p.m. A black male wearing all black with a black cap and a black female wearing all black with a red cap entered the Mobile gas station/Dunkin Donuts located at 198 Essex Road after 4 p.m. The two parties used counterfeit $20 bills at the Dunkin Donuts counter and then attempted to use counterfeit $20 bills at the Mobil counter. The payment transaction was completed at the Dunkin Donuts counter. The attendant at the Mobil counter tested the $20 bill(s), which showed the currency to be fake. The couple left in a black 2017 Honda Accord bearing New Jersey registration plate R73FZZ, which they had parked in a parking lot adjacent to the two businesses.

Friday, Dec. 8

• A 33 year-old Waterbury woman was arrested at 12:40 a.m. and charged with reckless driving.

Saturday, Dec. 9

• Two 17 year-old youths were arrested at 9:28 p.m. Each party was charged with robbery in the third degree and conspiracy to commit robbery in the third degree. The arrests were made following a report of two juveniles who robbed the complainant on Running Pine Road. Troopers found the two suspects via a police dog track. Each party was processed and released to their legal guardians.

• A 33 year-old New London woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:29 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and speeding at over 70 miles per hour.

Sunday, Dec. 10

• A 33 year-old Killingworth man was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on a warrant charging him with violation of probation/conditional discharge. He was processed and released after posting a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 17 year-old boy of Coldsprings Drive was issued a citation at 8:09 p.m. for traveling too fast for conditions. He was operating a 2006 Honda Civic LX northbound on Pond Meadow Road just north of Andre Drive when he rounded a curve, lost control of the vehicle on the slippery roadway, and slid off the northbound shoulder into an embankment. The vehicle flipped onto its right side and came to rest in the southbound lane. The operator was transported to the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Clinic for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash.

Thursday, Dec. 7

• A 32 year-old homeless man was arrested at 7:09 p.m. and charged with illegal possession of narcotics, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, having weapons in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, interfering with an officer, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension. He was processed and held in lieu of a $75,000 surety bond.

• A 52 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 7:09 p.m. and charged with engaging an officer in pursuit, failure to obey a control signal, traveling unreasonably fast, criminal possession of a firearm, having dangerous weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, misuse of plate, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was processed and held in lieu of a $100,000 surety bond.

• A 55 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 10:41 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the first degree and disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act.

Friday, Dec. 8

• A 52 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 7:47 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to obey a stop sign, and possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Center Road West at Center Road.

• A 55 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:48 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat following a motor vehicle stop on Spencer Plains Road.

• A 26 year-old East Haddam man, a 26 year-old man of Boston Post Road, and a 31 year-old man of Boston Post Road were issued citations at 5:56 p.m. for simple trespass on Trask Road at Kavanaugh Park. The 31 year-old man was also issued a citation for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana.

Saturday, Dec. 9

No arrests were made.

• A 38 year-old Deep River man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:56 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operating of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).

Sunday, Dec. 10

• A 23 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 1:21 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, traveling too fast for conditions, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and having unsafe tires following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Ferry Road.

Monday, Dec. 11

• A 26 year-old East Haddam woman was arrested at noon and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree. In the same incident a 22 year-old Norwich woman was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia on Boston Post Road.

• A 25 year-old Deep River man was arrested at 11:02 p.m. ad charged with interfering with an officer and possession of less than one-half ounce or less of marijuana. He was processed and held in lieu of a $2,000 surety bond.

Tuesday, Dec. 12

• A 38 year-old man of Cove Landing was arrested at 12:48 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and possession of a controlled substance on a warrant held by the Old Saybrook Police Department. He was processed and released after posting a $15,000 surety bond and issued a Dec. 26 court date.

Wednesday, Dec. 13

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Dec. 14

• A 24 year-old Norwalk man was arrested at 4:35 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree. He was processed and released after posting a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 34 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 7:25 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, risk of injury to a minor, traveling unreasonably fast, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, two counts of car seat violation, possession of marijuana, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released after posting a $1,000 surety bond.
