The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Oct. 25

No arrests were made.

• A 34 year-old Oxford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:08 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and traveling unreasonably fast.

Thursday, Oct. 26

No arrests were made.

Friday, Oct. 27

• A 22 year-old woman of Eaton Street was arrested at 1:40 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 25 year-old Waterbury man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Saturday, Oct. 28

No arrests were made.

• A 40 year-old Ansonia man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:25 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and misuse of plate.

Sunday, Oct. 29

No arrests were made.

• A 20 year-old West Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:10 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and misuse of plate.

Monday, Oct. 30

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Oct. 31

• A 47 year-old woman of St. John Street was arrested at 3:15 p.m. and charged with seven counts of cruelty to animals. A 57 year-old man of the same residence was charged with seven counts of cruelty to animals and breach of peace in the second degree. The arrests were made following an investigation into an anonymous tip police received regarding statements made by the male party on his Facebook account. Detectives found disturbing posts and videos that led them to believe the man was dangerous. He posted comments implying he that he planned to provide candy filled with rat poison to trick-or-treaters. He also referenced several mass killings from around the country and dubbed himself the Halloween Lunatic. Officers responded to the St. John Street residence and found the home’s floors and furniture covered with animal urine and feces. North Haven Animal Control and the Quinnipiac Valley Health Department responded to assist police. Three dogs, three cats, and a parrot were removed from the home for health precautions.

• A 23 year-old man of Elizabeth, New Jersey was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:33 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.

• A 45 year-old man of Village Street was issued a citation at 9:47 a.m. for creating a public disturbance.

Wednesday, Nov. 1

• A 36 year-old man of Peters Lane was arrested at 1:16 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and disorderly conduct.

• A 26 year-old Hamden woman was arrested at 11:01 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 33 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, fraudulent use of an auto teller machine, credit card theft, criminal impersonation, two counts of illegal use of a credit card, and two counts of receipt of goods or services obtained illegally.

• A 26 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 10:13 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and risk of injury to a minor. While in custody she was charged with failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

Thursday, Nov. 2

No arrests were made.

• A 42 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:19 p.m. for reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Friday, Nov. 3

• A 29 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 1:42 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Saturday, Nov. 4

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Nov. 5

• A 41 year-old man of Sackett Road was arrested at noon and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and breach of peace.

Monday, Nov. 6

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Nov. 7

• A 49 year-old Milford man was arrested at 7:15 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening.

• A 25 year-old woman of Grasso Avenue was arrested at 10:45 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.
