Police Incident Report for Sept. 27 to Oct. 24


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Sept. 27

• A 36 year-old man of Hartford Turnpike was arrested at 7:37 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order.

Thursday, Sept. 28

No arrests were made.

Friday, Sept. 29

• A 48 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2:03 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 44 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 7 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

• A 53 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1:55 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 20 year-old man of Hartford Turnpike was arrested at 7:55 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and having weapons in a motor vehicle.

• A 33 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:18 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A 22 year-old Meriden woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:24 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license and registration suspension and failure to have tail lamps.

Saturday, Sept. 30

• A 35 year-old man of Sackett Point Road was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Sunday, Oct. 1

No arrests were made.

• A 29 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:03 a.m. for theft of a number plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Monday, Oct. 2

No arrests were made.

• A 53 year-old Middlebury man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:55 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and misuse of plate.

Tuesday, Oct. 3 to Wednesday, Oct. 4

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Oct. 5

• A 25 year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested at 11:30 a.m. and charged with breach of peace.

• A 26 year-old man of Plaza Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:14 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Friday, Oct. 6

• A 62 year-old Branford man was arrested at 2:15 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation, forgery in the second degree, and possession of less than four ounces of marijuana.

• A 57 year-old Meriden woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:37 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Saturday, Oct. 7

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Oct. 8

• A 20 year-old man of Hartford Turnpike was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. In the same incident a 20 year-old man of the same residence was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct. Both men were arrested under the Domestic Violence Act.

Monday, Oct. 9

• A 53 year-old man of Dixwell Avenue was arrested at 2:45 a.m. and charged with robbery in the first degree, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, threatening in the first degree, and two counts of kidnapping in the first degree.

• A 37 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:32 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license and registration suspension, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Tuesday, Oct. 10 to Wednesday, Oct. 11

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Oct. 12

• A 19 year-old man of Valley Brook Lane was arrested at 2:59 p.m. and charged with reckless driving and disobeying the signal of an officer.

Friday, Oct. 13 to Saturday, Oct. 14

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Oct. 15

• A 44 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2:30 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer.

Monday, Oct. 16

• A 32 year-old man of Skiff Street was arrested at 8:11 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a restraining order.

Tuesday, Oct. 17

• A 39 year-old man of Hartford Turnpike was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, assault in the second degree with a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 20 year-old man of North Gale Lane was arrested at 3:35 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, Oct. 18

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 4 p.m. on a warrant charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 40 year-old East Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:49 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart, and failure to renew license.

Thursday, Oct. 19

• A 48 year-old Meriden woman was arrested at 3:06 p.m. and charged with larceny in the first degree and larceny in the second degree.

Friday, Oct. 20

• A 31 year-old Hamden woman was arrested on a warrant charging her with failure to appear for a motor vehicle summons.

• A 29 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:33 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper use of marker plate.

Saturday, Oct. 21

• A 32 year-old man of Quinnipiac Avenue was arrested at 9 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury to a minor.

Sunday, Oct. 22

No arrests were made.

Monday, Oct. 23

• A 43 year-old woman of Kings Highway was arrested at 11:45 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, refusal to be fingerprinted, criminal mischief in the first degree, and two counts of assault on a peace officer.

Tuesday, Oct. 24

No arrests were made.

• A 20 year-old man of Overbrook Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:11 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and speeding.
