Police Incident Report for June 7 to 15


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Clinton

Wednesday, June 7

No arrests were made.

• An untimely death was reported on Lafayette Green Road at 10:22 a.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Old Post Road at 2:11 p.m.

Thursday, June 8

• A 34 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 11:56 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the fourth degree (via embezzlement).

• A burglary was investigated on Airline Road at 12:21 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Founders Road at 2:19 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Central Avenue at 9:17 p.m.

Friday, June 9

• A 58 year-old Hartford man was arrested at 3 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the fifth degree and forgery in the third degree.

• A 32 year-old Middletown woman was arrested at 5:50 p.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Liberty Street at Woodcock Lane.

• A 22 year-old Glastonbury man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:38 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and traveling unreasonably fast following a motor vehicle stop on Glenwood Road near Ninety Rod Road.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 10:43 a.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 4:29 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Kings Grant Road at 5:38 p.m.

Saturday, June 10

No arrests were made.

• A 34 year-old man of Long Hill Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:03 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to have tail lights or marker lights following a motor vehicle stop on Liberty Street at Fairy Dell Road.

• A 21 year-old Deep River woman was issued a citation at 2:01 a.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Cow Hill Road at Old Schoolhouse Road.

• A 23 year-old man of Everett, Massachusetts was issued a citation at 2:56 a.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on West Main Street.

• Harassment was investigated on West Main Street at 10:27 a.m.

• Threatening was investigated on Meadow Road at 2:05 p.m.

Sunday, June 11

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Pearl Street at 8:10 p.m.

• An untimely death was investigated on Buell Court at 11:32 p.m.

Monday, June 12

• An 18 year-old Colchester man was arrested at 12:44 p.m. on a warrant charging him with making a false statement to purchase alcoholic beverage and forgery in the second degree.

• A 20 year-old North Haven woman was issued a citation at 5 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to renew registration.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Janes Lane Extension at 6:55 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated on Indian Drive at 2:06 p.m.

Tuesday, June 13

• A 44 year-old New London man was arrested at 3:06 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation.

• A 54 year-old Middletown woman was arrested at 8:58 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to have tail lamps or marker lights, and excessive fumes or exhaust smoke following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street at Beach Park Road.

• Larcenies were investigated on Waterside Lane at 12:51 p.m., East Main Street at 1:58 p.m., and another location on East Main Street at 2:45 p.m.

• Neighbor disputes were investigated on Cedar Road at 10:07 p.m. and on Morgan Park at 10:10 p.m.

Wednesday, June 14

No arrests were made.

Thursday, June 15

• A 29 year-old Montville man was arrested at 1:54 a.m. on a warrant charging him with assault on an officer, interfering with an officer, larceny in the fifth degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny. While in custody he was also arrested on warrant charging him with failure to appear in the first degree and two counts of violation of probation/conditional discharge.

• A 48 year-old Westbrook man was issued a citation at 4:27 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 9:42 a.m.

Wednesday, June 7

Thursday, June 8

• A 34 year-old Madison man was arrested at 1:42 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and improper parking.

• A 43 year-old Guilford woman was arrested at 3:10 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs while in a roadway construction zone and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 47 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 5:01 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway after she was stopped on Boston Post Road at Sagamore Terrace for erratic driving.

Friday, June 9

• A 16 year-old was arrested at 2:31 p.m. and charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana at Westbrook High School. The youth was processed and released to the custody of the father.

• A 38 year-old man of a Boston Post Road apartment was arrested at 3:22 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree follow an incident at Westbrook High School involving an alleged 16 year-old victim.

Saturday, June 10

• A 52 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 12:05 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, speeding, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Sunday, June 11

• A 19 year-old Windsor Locks man was arrested at 6:53 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, assault in the third degree, and assault on a person age 60 or older or who is handicapped or pregnant. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Monday, June 12

• A 22 year-old Seymour woman was arrested at 2:49 p.m. on a warrant charging her with violation of probation following a motor vehicle stop in which she was also charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• An 18 year-old Windsor Locks man was arrested and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Tuesday, June 13

• A 51 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 9:11 a.m. on a warrant charging him with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the third degree.

• A 47 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 1:53 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Wednesday, June 14

• A 48 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1:40 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (third arrest for this offense based on two prior court convictions for DUI), operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle with a valid out-of-state driver’s license beyond 30 days. He was stopped after police received several 911 cell phone calls reporting his erratic driving.

• A 29 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 10:40 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A larceny was investigated at 12:50 p.m. A Connecticut dealer registration plate (XFM-260) was reported stolen from Westbrook Honda between May 15 and June 14. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Trooper Greg Hunter at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.

Thursday, June 15

• A 46 year-old man of Chittenden Hill Road was arrested at 12:04 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer after police arrived at the scene to handle an intoxicated female.

• A 49 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 12:24 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (third arrest for this offense based on two prior court convictions for DUI) and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Wednesday, June 7

• A 37 woman of Ayers Point Road was issued a citation at 4:43 p.m. for allowing a dog to roam on Essex Road.

Friday, June 9

• A 38 year-old man of King Street was arrested at 11:16 a.m. and charged with criminal attempt to distribute a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of prescription medication. He was processed and released after posting a $3,500 surety bond.

• A 24 year-old East Hartford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:20 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and traveling unreasonably fast for Ingham Hill Road in front of the Old Saybrook High School track area.

• An 18 year-old Manchester man was arrested at 1:12 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree.

• A 17 year-old was issued a citation at 8:08 p.m. for failure to display registration numbers or decals on a motor vessel he was operating on the Connecticut River at Between the Bridges Marina.

Saturday, June 10

• A 28 year-old Hartford woman was arrested at 12:15 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 53 year-old Danbury man was arrested at 7:15 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree. In the same incident at 57 year-old Rocky Hill man was charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 61 year-old Essex man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:54 a.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance following a motor vehicle stop on Center Road at Boston Post Road.

Monday, June 12

No arrests were made.

• A 41 year-old New London man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:50 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to carry an insurance card, and having an obstructed view through the windshield following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Lynde Street.

Tuesday, June 13

• A 16 year-old was arrested at 10:12 p.m. and charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was processed and released to parental custody and was scheduled to appear before the Middletown Superior Court for Juvenile Matters.

Wednesday, June 14

• A 31 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 10:29 a.m. on a warrant charging him with three counts of violation of probation.

• A 17 year-old was arrested at 6:55 p.m. and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, and operating a drug factory.

Thursday, June 15
