Thursday, April 27
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about two students on a bus making crank calls to random numbers was investigated on Bullard Drive at 9:17 a.m.
• Criminal trespass at Guilford Lakes Golf Course was investigated at 10:44 a.m. Two men were allegedly golfing without paying the prior evening at 5 p.m. The men were operating vehicles with the following Connecticut license plate numbers: 8AT-JWG and 225-ZDE.
• A complaint about Internet fraud was investigated at 75 Driftwood Lane at 12:35 p.m. The complainant’s house was listed for sale on Craigslist.
• A cat struck by a vehicle was reported on Little Meadow Road at 4:08 p.m.
• Complaints about a gang stalking (harassment) letters were investigated at 95 North Street at 4:39 p.m., 46 Dover Court at 5:18 p.m., and 103 Golden Hill Drive at 6:36 p.m.
Friday, April 28
• A 28 year-old Cheshire woman was arrested at 7:46 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence with a passenger under the age of 18 onboard. The vehicle was stopped on Whitfield Street.
• A domestic dispute was investigated below the 100 block of Whitfield Street at 12:31 a.m.
• A complaint about a small, gray sports car being driven erratically was investigated on Church Street at 5:27 a.m. No plate information was obtained. Police could not locate the offending vehicle.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on Water Street at 2:23 p.m. The offender left the scene in a black Nissan.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Sound View Road at 2:49 p.m.
• Complaints about gang stalking (harassment) letters were investigated at 88 Half Mile Road at 6:24 p.m. and 62 Half Mile Road at 7:06 p.m.
• An animal complaint was investigated on the 1100 block of Moose Hill Road at 6:42 p.m. A neighbor’s dog killed the family’s pet duck.
• A complainant reported hearing and seeing motorized vehicle on Guilford Land Conservation Trust property behind his residence on Blue Hill Drive at 10:42 p.m. The offending vehicles were gone when police arrived.
Saturday, April 29
No arrests were made.
• Vandalism was investigated at 248 Barnshed Lane at 10:38 a.m.
• A complaint about a vehicle being driven erratically on Boston Post Road between the Chowder Pot in Branford and Guilford was investigated at the western end of Boston Post Road at 4:20 p.m.
• A caller at 23 Alpha Avenue reported that a tow company dropped off a vehicle that subsequently rolled down the driveway and struck a tree.
Sunday, April 30
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated in front of 800 Goose Lane at 9:50 a.m. A 25 mph speed limit sign was covered with graffiti.
• A larceny was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 1:16 p.m. Game controller pieces were taken. The suspected party left in a black Nissan Altima bearing plate AH61496.
• Suspicious activity was investigated on the 300 block of Old Whitfield Street near Farmers Wharf Road at 2:31 p.m. The complainant reported that an older man in a white van was talking with a small child.
• A complaint about a gang stalking (harassment) letter was investigated at 400 North River Street at 3:12 p.m.
• A raccoon was reported inside a residence at 100 Ruggles Road at 3:26 p.m. The raccoon was removed and released into the woods behind the residence.
• Silver spray paint was reported on a vehicle, stop sign, and rock wall at 62 Half Mile Road at 7:38 p.m.
Monday, May 1
• A 51 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 6:56 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, breach of peace in the second degree, disobeying the signal of an officer, passing in a no-passing zone, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
• A complainant on High Street reported that a neighbor shot a squirrel with a pellet gun and the animal died on her lawn. The Department of Energy & Environmental Protection was notified and stated they would take the call.
• Silver spray paint was reported on a stone wall in front of 229 Half Mile Road at 5:57 p.m.
• Erratic operation of motor vehicle was reported by a 911 cell phone caller on the 1700 block of Boston Post Road at 10:59 p.m. The suspect vehicle was headed northbound and entered the commuter parking lot. The vehicle later entered I-95 southbound toward New Haven before police could arrive. Troop G and F state police were notified.
• Erratic operation of a motor vehicle was reported on Boston Street at Alderbrook Cemetery at 10:05 p.m. The 911 cell phone caller followed the erratic vehicle, a black 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan with Connecticut license plate 567-ZVV, from Boston Street onto Route One northbound into Madison, and then back into Guilford. Once in Guilford, the operator pulled into private property at 111 Goose Lane and exited the vehicle before police could arrive.
• A complaint about a gang stalking (harassment) letter was investigated at 425 North River Street at 10:03 a.m.
Tuesday, May 2
No arrests were made.
• Harassment was investigated on Wheeler Path at 4:29 p.m.
• A complaint about two white males, one wearing a gray sweatshirt and one wearing a white sweatshirt, walking around condemned property on Sachems Head Road, was investigated at 6:22 p.m. Officers determined the men were investors looking to purchase the vacant property, which is listed for sale.
Wednesday, May 3
No arrests were made.
• A complaint on Three Mile Course asked police for advice about an issue at a cemetery at 8:45 a.m.
