Thursday, April 13
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud involving Publisher’s Clearing House was investigated at 377 State Street at 3:33 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud via telephone was investigated at 1069 Boston Post Road at 4:03 p.m.
• A complaint about a stray dog attacking chickens was investigated at 140 Maupas North Road at 6:21 p.m.
Friday, April 14
No arrests were made.
• A vehicle repossession requested by Connex Credit Union was conducted on the 400 block of Three Corners Road at 2:21 p.m.
• The theft of a battery was reported at 598 Durham Road at 4:51 p.m.
Saturday, April 15
No arrests were made.
Sunday, April 16
• A 21 year-old man of Church Street was arrested at 8:15 a.m. and charged with reckless driving, driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, assault in the second degree, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
• A 53 year-old woman of Mulberry Point Road was arrested at 6:41 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop on Water Street.
• The report of a 6’2” man wearing a red sweatshirt, jeans, and a tan fedora shopping in Walmart with a gun tucked into the back of his pants was investigated at 2:15 p.m. The man could not be located.
Monday, April 17
• A 29 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 5:46 a.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, and assault in the third degree.
• A larceny was investigated at 400 Church Street at 6 a.m.
• A complaint about a neighbor’s dog barking all day long was investigated on the 1800 block of Great Hill Road at 6:45 p.m.
Tuesday, April 18
• A 35 year-old woman and a 48 year-old woman (of different addresses in New Haven) were arrested at 7:36 p.m. Each party was charged with risk of injury to a minor, larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree following a shoplifting incident at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road. The 48 year-old woman was additionally charged with criminal trespass in the second degree.
• A 30 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 10:46 p.m. and charged with larceny in the second degree, forgery in the third degree, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. While in custody he was also charged with failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding arrest warrant.
• A complaint about fraud via the Internet was investigated at 769 Route 80 are 10:40 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 25 Graves Avenue at 5:12 p.m. The complainant received a call from a person posing as a grandson requesting $16,000 bail money.
Wednesday, April 19
• A 48 year-old man of 145 Middle Road was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor under the domestic violence act. In the same incident a 33 year-old woman of the same address was charged with risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, and assault in the third degree.
• Concern about a swan entangled in fish line at Lake Quonnipaug was investigated at 11:53 a.m. The swan’s mate was also in the area. The entangled swan swam out onto the lake and could not be reached. The Department of Energy & Environmental Protection was notified.
• Harassment was investigated on the 5400 block of Durham Road at 2:26 p.m.
• An unwanted person complaint was investigated at 570 Boston Post Road at 7:25 p.m. An ex-employee was told not to return to the store, but continued to ignore the request.
