Monday, Jan. 30

• A 34 year-old Stamford man was arrested at 4:17 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree (via shoplifting) and interfering with an officer (non-assaultive) following a shoplifting incident on Killingworth Turnpike. While in custody he was also arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A complaint about harassment was investigated on Airline Road at 10:33 a.m.

• A burglary was investigated on Meadow Road at 1:41 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

No arrests were made.

• A 43 year-old man of Circle Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:19 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and traveling too fast for conditions following a motor vehicle accident without injuries on Elsie Lane at Hemlock Hill Road.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on East Main Street at 9:24 a.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on John Street at 2:43 p.m.

• A complaint about harassment was investigated on Shore Road at 7:06 p.m.

• A complaint about harassment was investigated on Meadow Road at 8:04 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

Thursday, Feb. 2

• A 48 year-old Westbrook woman was arrested at 3:37 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree.

• A 35 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 4:34 p.m. on a warrant charging him with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

• A 35 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 4:43 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics following an investigation into a drug offense on East Main Street.

• A neighbor dispute was investigated on Elmwood Way at 1:48 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated on East Main Street at 3:05 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Christina Court at 6:39 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 3

No arrests were made.

• A 25 year-old Deep River man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:04 a.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana, and having the improper number of headlights.

• A theft was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 3:32 p.m.

• A complaint about harassment was investigated on Old Post Road at 7:01 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 4

• A 26 year-old Killingworth man was arrested at 12:51 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to have functioning directional signals following a motor vehicle stop on Killingworth Turnpike.

Sunday, Feb. 5

No arrests were made.

• A shoplifting complaint was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 2:27 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 6

No arrests were made.

• A 41 year-old man of East Main Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:04 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Liberty Village at 7:47 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 9:23 a.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Palmer Terrace at 9:41 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Old Nod Road at 12:39 p.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Rocky Ledge Drive at 6:19 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

• A 36 year-old man of Killingworth Turnpike was arrested at 8:59 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the sixth degree, credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card, identity theft in the third degree, criminal violation of a restraining order, and harassment in the second degree.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

• A 22 year-old man of Riverside Drive was arrested at 3:20 p.m. on a warrant charging him with four counts of sexual assault in the second degree (via consensual sex with an underage person) and four counts of risk of injury to a minor.

• A 41 year-old woman of Glenwood Road was arrested at 11:47 p.m. and charged with drinking while operating a motor vehicle, improper use of registration plates, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to have tail lamps or marker lights following a motor vehicle stop on Glenwood Road.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated on East Main Street at 5:24 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 9

No arrests were made.

• A larceny was investigated on Cow Hill Road at 7:38 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 8:59 a.m.

Friday, Feb. 10

Saturday, Feb. 11

• A 19 year-old man of High Street was arrested at 11:41 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute on East Main Street.

• A larceny was investigated on East Main Street at 11:47 a.m.

Sunday, Feb. 12

No arrests were made.

Monday, Feb. 13

• A 34 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 8:51 p.m. on a warrant charged him with assault in the third degree, risk of injury to a minor, and disorderly conduct.

Westbrook

Monday, Jan. 23

• A 20 year-old Old Saybrook man was arrested at 10:31 a.m. on a warrant charging him with conspiracy to commit a felony.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

• A 33 year-old Haddam man was arrested at 12:43 p.m. on a warrant charging him with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree. He was processed on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Jan. 26

• A 26 year-old Groton man was arrested at 12:10 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and reckless driving after was stopped for speeding in Westbrook.

• A 21 year-old Essex man was arrested at 7:12 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and breach of peace in the second degree. While turning himself into to Troop F on an outstanding warrant the accused became combative, cursed repeatedly, and kicked a garbage can across the Troop F lobby.

• A 44 year-old Norwich man was arrested at 10:41 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and reckless driving after he was stopped for speeding in Westbrook.

Friday, Jan. 27

• A 16 year-old was arrested at 9:59 p.m. on a warrant charging criminal mischief in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, stalking in the second degree, and reckless endangerment in the second degree. The accused repeatedly damaged a home on several occasions by throwing objects from a moving vehicle.

• A larceny was investigated at the Sunglass Hut located in the Tanger Outlets at 314 Flat Rock Place at 1:59 p.m. Further investigation revealed an additional theft of sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut located at Clinton Crossing perpetrated by the same suspects.

Saturday, Jan. 28

• A 56 year-old Griswold man was arrested at 3:18 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency 911 call following a domestic disturbance in Westbrook. He was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. The alleged victim was an 87 year-old of an unrecorded address in Westbrook.

Sunday, Jan. 29

• A 34 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 12:49 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree after he tackled a security officer to the ground inside the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Clinic in Westbrook. He was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Monday, Jan. 30

• A 51 year-old Portland man was arrested at 12:28 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

• A 26 year-old Middletown woman was arrested at 11:40 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

• A 17 year-old girl of Toby Hill Road was issued a written warning at 12:39 p.m. for traveling too fast for conditions after she caused a four vehicle accident on McVeagh Road near Toby Hill Road. The crash occurred in snowy conditions. No injuries were reported or observed.

• A 24 year-old Clinton man was issued a citation at 12:42 p.m. for traveling too fast for conditions after he lost control of the 1995 Dodge Stealth he was operating at the intersection of Grove Beach Road and Route 145 and collided with the rear of a 2013 Chevrolet Impala operated by a 72 year-old Killingworth man. No injuries were reported or observed.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

Thursday, Feb. 2

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 8:47 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree following an investigation into a shoplifting incident from a local restaurant.

• A 39 year-old New Britain man was arrested at 1:56 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead of citation.

• A 40 year-old man of Waltham, Massachusetts was arrested at 8:43 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 35 year-old Norwalk man was arrested at 9:23 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway after 911 callers reported erratic operation of a motor vehicle.

Friday, Feb. 3

• A 47 year-old Hanover man was arrested at 4:19 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant following a larceny from Famous Footwear located at the Tanger Outlet Mall on Flat Rock Road. A white male with a beard and dressed in a large tan jacket and black jeans was observed stealing a pair of men’s Timberland work boots. The man was seen leaving in a tan Volvo sedan. Police apprehended him based upon witness-provided details.

• A 51 year-old Windsor woman was arrested at 7:44 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop at the DOT Commuter Lot at exit 64 following the report of a possible vehicle fire.

• A larceny was investigated at Wilcox Fuel located at 1179 Boston Post Road at 7:15 a.m. Sometime between the late hours of Feb. 2 and 7:15 a.m. on Feb. 3, an unknown suspect or suspects used forced entry to gain entry into two company vehicles parked behind the business. Numerous copper fittings and rolled copper tubing were taken. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Trooper Wayne Buck at 860-399-7304.

Sunday, Feb. 5

• A 31 year-old Hartford man was arrested at 2:45 p.m. on a warrant charging him with escape from a correctional institute in the first degree.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at Xtra-Mart located at 130 Boston Post Road at 6:10 p.m. A man entered the store and asked the store clerk for three cartons of Newport cigarettes. While the clerk was distracted, the offending man reached over the counter, took the three cartons, and fled to a waiting black sedan in the adjacent parking lot. The suspect was described at as a six-foot-tall black male of medium build wearing baggy blue jeans, a dark flannel jacket, and a red/white stripped Boston Red Sox knit cap. The sedan fled up Grove Beach Road toward I-95. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Darrell Tetreault at 860-399-2100.

Monday, Feb. 6

Tuesday, Feb. 7

• A 49 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 11:05 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle without license or registration suspension, improper use of marker plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and speeding.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

• A 45 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 6:26 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation following a motor vehicle stop.

• A 24 year-old man of Spencer Plains Road was arrested at 9:16 a.m. on a warrant charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 36 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 6:35 p.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the sixth degree and forgery in the second degree.

Thursday, Feb. 9

No arrests were made.

• A theft of copper pipe and fitting was investigated at Wilcox Fuel Company, 50 Old Salt Works Place, at 6:55 a.m. Police believe the theft was committed by a thin, white male who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The theft occurred between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Trooper Gregory Hunter at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.

Friday, Feb. 10

• A 34 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 5:39 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

No arrests were made.

• An attempted burglary was investigated at Bill’s Seafood, 548 Boston Post Road, at 10:03 a.m. An unknown person or persons gained entry through a window on the west side of the building. Nothing was reported missing from the business. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Westbrook resident state trooper’s office at 860-399-7304. All calls will be kept confidential.

Monday, Feb. 13

• A 33 year-old East Hartford man was arrested at 1:19 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree. The accused allegedly stole and pawned jewelry items from his aunt and uncle’s residence on Whittemore Place in Westbrook. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Old Saybrook

Monday, Jan. 23

• A 41 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 8:13 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and failure to obey the signal of an officer following a motor vehicle stop on Ingham Hill Road.

• A 56 year-old man of Fairview Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:31 a.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident) following a motor vehicle crash on Boston Post Road.

• A 35 year-old Killingworth man was arrested at 10:36 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Essex Road.

• A 38 year-old New London woman was issued a citation at 5:18 p.m. for simple trespass at 22 Spencer Plain Road.

• A 17 year-old boy of Bokum Road was issued a citation at 10:51 p.m. for possession of alcohol by a minor at 105 Plum Bank Road.

Sunday, Jan. 29

• A 35 year-old Deep River woman was arrested at 11:27 p.m. and on a warrant charging her with violation of probation. She was processed and held in lieu of a $5,000 surety bond. In the same incident, a 28 year-old Deep River man was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed and held in lieu of a $5,000 surety bond.

Monday, Jan. 30

• A 47 year-old Farmington woman was arrested at 10:44 a.m. on a warrant charging her with harassment in the second degree under the Domestic Violence Act. She was processed and released after posting a $5,000 surety bond.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

• A 31 year-old man of Middletown Avenue was arrested at 6:13 p.m. on a warrant charging him with harassment in the second degree under the Domestic Violence Act. He was processed and held in lieu of a $25,000 surety bond.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

• A 47 year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 9:59 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree. He was processed and released after posting a $1,000 surety bond.

Thursday, Feb. 2

• A 58 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 6:01 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, child endangerment while driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and risk of injury to a minor. He was processed and released after posting a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 21 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:44 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to display headlamps following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Vista Terrace.

Friday, Feb. 3

No arrests were made.

• A 28 year-old Niantic man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:15 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop in front of 685 Boston Post Road.

Saturday, Feb. 4

• An 82 year-old East Lyme man was arrested at 9:43 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, traveling unreasonably fast, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Sunday, Feb. 5

• A 54 year-old Madison man was arrested at 7:37 a.m. and charged with stalking in the second degree under the domestic violence act.

Monday, Feb. 6

• A 51 year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 12:20 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• A 53 year-old man of Hartford Avenue was arrested at 9:12 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment in the second degree, and threatening in the second degree under the Domestic Violence Act.

• A 34 year-old man of Jewett City was arrested at 7:53 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics, delivery of drug paraphernalia, assault in the second degree, and reckless endangerment in the first degree on the strength of a warrant held by the Old Saybrook Police Department.

• A 23 year-old Niantic man was issued a citation at 10:41 p.m. for creating a public disturbance on Boston Post Road.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

No arrests were made.

• A 64 year-old man of Clark Street was issued a citation at 1:48 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana.

• A 17 year-old was issued a citation at 4:08 p.m. for using a hand-held cell phone while driving following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Elm Street.

Wednesday, Feb. 8 to Thursday, Feb. 9

No arrests were made.

Friday, Feb. 10

• A 31 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 9:50 p.m. and charged with illegal possession of a narcotic. He was processed and released after posting a $2,500 surety bond.

Saturday, Feb. 11

• A 32 year-old Higganum man was arrested at 12:58 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree. He was processed and released after posting a $1,000 surety bond.

Sunday, Feb. 12

• A 53 year-old man of Kitteridge Hill Road was arrested at 5:48 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, traveling too fast for conditions, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on King Street.

• A 20 year-old man of Sunrise Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:45 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to obey a stop light, and excessive noise following a motor vehicle stop on Elm Street at Lynde Street.

Monday, Feb. 13

• Two 17 year-olds were arrested at 6:49 p.m. Each juvenile was charged with larceny in the sixth degree. Each was processed and released to parental custody on a written promise to appear at Middletown Superior Court for Juvenile Matters.
