Police Incident Report for Jan. 18 to 31


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Clinton

Wednesday, Jan. 18

• A 22 year-old man of Nod Road and a 51 year-old man of Glenwood Road were arrested at 11:31 a.m. on warrants. Each party was charged with violation of probation.

• A 41 year-old Niantic man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:11 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle accident on East Main Street.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Glenwood Road at 3:12 p.m.

• Threatening was investigated on Nod Road at 7:11 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 7:30 p.m.

• Threatening was investigated on Warpas Road at 10:55 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 19

• A 54 year-old man of East Main Street was arrested at 9:39 a.m. on a warrant charging him with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

• A 56 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 5:35 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and traveling unreasonably fast following a motor vehicle stop on John Street.

• A 30 year-old woman of Beach Park Road was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• The passing of bad check was investigated on East Main Street at 2:58 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Nod Road at 9:55 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 20

• A 20 year-old woman, a 44 year-old woman, a 22 year-old woman, and a 41 year-old man of the same Nutmeg Drive apartment complex were arrested at 7:14 a.m. on warrants. Each party was charged with possession of narcotics and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 22 year-old woman and 26 year-old man of the same Meriden residence were arrested at 10:15 a.m. on warrants. Each party was charged him with risk of injury to a minor and owning or harboring a dog to create a nuisance. This man had been charged with the crime of harboring a nuisance dog before.

• Harassment was investigated on Marine Avenue at 6:21 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 21

• A 15 year-old was arrested at 2:18 p.m. and charged with breach of peace and assault in the third degree following a dispute on Delwood Drive. In the same incident a 14 year-old was arrested and charged with breach of peace.

• A noise complaint was investigated on Thrush Cross Road at Fairy Dell Road at 3:06 p.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 5:55 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 22

No arrests were made.

Westbrook

Wednesday, Jan. 18

• A 23 year-old man of West Pond Meadow Road was arrested at 6 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

Thursday, Jan. 19

• A 29 year-old New London man was arrested at 12:58 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed on a $2,500 surety bond.

• A 20 year-old Old Saybrook man was arrested at 8:48 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, having weapons in a motor vehicle, and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the second degree.

• A 26 year-old Durham man was arrested at 11:17 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle crash.

Friday, Jan. 20

No arrests were made.

• A 32 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:40 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and speeding.

Saturday, Jan. 21

• A 30 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 10:37 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper use of marker plate, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Thursday, Jan. 19

• A 21 year-old man of Ledge Road was arrested at 5:38 p.m. on a warrant charging him with criminal mischief in the second degree, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the second degree, unlawful discharge of a firearm, conspiracy to commit unlawful discharge of a firearm, possession of firearms in a motor vehicle, and conspiracy to commit possession of firearms in a motor vehicle.

• A 35 year-old New Britain woman was arrested at 8:56 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Friday, Jan. 20

No arrests were made.

Saturday, Jan. 21

• A 36 year-old man of Schoolhouse Road was arrested at 12:59 p.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 54 year-old woman of Schoolhouse Road was arrested at 6:30 p.m. on a warrant charging her with breach of peace in the second degree.

Sunday, Jan. 22

• A 25 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 12:33 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper use of marker plate.

Monday, Jan. 23

• A 41 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 8:13 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and failure to obey the signal of an officer following a motor vehicle stop on Ingham Hill Road.

• A 56 year-old man of Fairview Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:31 a.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident) following a motor vehicle crash on Boston Post Road.
