The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, Dec. 8

No arrests were made.

• Neighbor trouble involving ongoing issues was investigated on Willow Road at 4:46 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 9

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance involving a dog was investigated on the 800 block of Hoop Pole Road at 12:27 p.m.

• An animal nuisance involving a roaming German shepherd was investigated on the 900 block of Moose Hill Road at 8:13 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 10

• A 28 year-old man of North River Street was arrested at 10:15 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the second degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, interfering with an emergency call, cruelty to animals, threatening in the second degree, strangulation in the second degree, and unlawful restraint in the first degree.

• A 52 year-old Shelton man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of forgery in the first degree and two counts of larceny in the third degree.

• A 45 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:21 a.m. and charged with multiple counts of conspiracy to commit forgery and multiple counts of conspiracy to commit larceny.

• A 26 year-old man of Andy Lane was arrested at 3:36 p.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit an unspecified felony, unlawful restraint in the first degree, threatening in the second degree, and disorderly conduct.

• Ongoing neighbor trouble was investigated on Grist Mill Circle at 1:15 p.m. A neighbor’s fence fell down and the complainant did not want to be accused.

• A complaint about harassment and threatening via yelling in a store was investigated at 858 Boston Post Road at 2:11 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 11

• A 38 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 9:12 a.m. and charged with multiple counts of conspiracy to commit unspecified felonies and misdemeanors.

• A 26 year-old man of Andy Lane (the same man of Andy Lane arrested on Dec. 10) was arrested on a warrant and charged with failure to appear in the second degree.

• Criminal mischief of public property was investigated at 1200 West Lake Avenue at 3:16 a.m.

• A breach of peace incident was investigated at Red Roof Inn, 2300 Boston Post Road, at 12:21 p.m. A guest in the lobby was making a scene of stolen room keys.

Monday, Dec. 12

• A 25 year-old woman of Flat Meadow Road was arrested at 7:30 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and forgery in the second degree.

• A vehicle repossession (of a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country) was conducted on Wildrose Avenue at 5:27 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 13

No arrests were made.

• A report of illegal weapons was investigated on Farmview Drive at 8:09 a.m. A man was in a boat shooting at ducks.

• A theft was investigated at 3 Boston Terrace at 10:47 a.m. UPS packages were not delivered.

Wednesday, Dec. 14

• A 44 year-old Old Saybrook man was arrested at 12:18 p.m. and charged with four counts of burglary in the third degree, four counts of larceny in the sixth degree, and four counts of criminal mischief in the third degree.

Thursday, Dec. 15

• A 46 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 11:27 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

Friday, Dec. 16

• An 18 year-old man of Elm Street was arrested at 7:13 p.m. and charged with driving with an elevated blood alcohol level under the age of 21, possession of liquor by a minor, illegal possession of narcotics, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to have headlamps lit, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.

• A complaint about a fraudulent credit card account opened in the complainant’s name was investigated at 27 Moose Hill Road at 12:57 p.m.

• The theft of checks was investigated at the Guilford Savings Bank, 1 Park Street, at 4:45 p.m. One hundred checks were missing from a package that was shipped to the bank.

Saturday, Dec. 17

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about harassment was investigated at 10:15 a.m. The complainant reported that his ex-wife would not drive their children back home.

• A chimney fire was reported at 570 Moose Hill Road at 6:13 p.m. The homeowner did not open the flue.

Sunday, Dec. 18

• A 50 year-old man of Chasse Drive was arrested at 5:31 pm. and charged with assault in the second degree, disorderly conduct, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

• A theft was investigated at 201 Granite Road at 10:19 a.m.

Monday, Dec. 19

• A 38 year-old man and a 37 year-old woman of the same Boston Post Road residence on the 2800 block were arrested at 10:21 p.m. Each party was charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.

• A noise complaint was investigated on Graves Avenue at 6:10 a.m.

• A theft was investigated at 9 Park Street at 12:17 p.m. A wreath was stolen off the rectory door of the Episcopal Church.

• A theft from the Guilford High School cafeteria was investigated at 2:32 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 20

No arrests were made.

• A 32 year-old Madison woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:56 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident) and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• Harassment was investigated on the 500 block of Leetes Island Road at 11:40 a.m.

• A complaint about fraud at the Country Grocer was investigated at 2:33 p.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at 1164 Boston Post Road at 8:01 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 21

• A 31 year-old woman of the 500 block of Route 80 was arrested at 10:16 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer and risk of injury to a minor. In the same incident, a 50 year-old man of the same residence was charged with risk of injury to a minor, tampering with a witness, interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct, assault in the second degree, and two counts of assault in the third degree. He was processed on a $75,000 surety bond.

• Two males were seen entering a car in the driveway a house on the 400 block of Mulberry Point Road at 2:24 a.m. The males ran toward Tuttles Point Road.

• A burglary was investigated at 55 Marshall Avenue at 9:48 a.m. A vehicle was entered during the overnight hours.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 97 Indian Cove Road at 3:03 p.m.

• A burglary was investigated at 70 High Ridge Road at 4:29 p.m.

• A burglary was investigated at 45 Faulkner Drive at 7:19 p.m. Two vehicles were broken into during the overnight hours and items stolen.

Thursday, Dec. 22

• A 51 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 2:26 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road. Unspecified damage was done in a bathroom.

Friday, Dec. 23

• A 41 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 11:20 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree.

• A report of a highly intoxicated woman was investigated in a room at 320 Boston Post Road at 11 a.m.

• A theft was investigated at 2785 Boston Post Road at 4:14 p.m.

• A complaint about a loud party was investigated on the 900 block of Little Meadow Road at 11:12 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 24

• An 18 year-old woman of Podunk Road was arrested at 11:06 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A shoplifting incident at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, was investigated at 1:07 p.m.

• Guilford police assisted Plainville police in searching for two runaway girls who were believed to be at a residence on White Birch Lane. The girls were not located.

Sunday, Dec. 25

No arrests were made.

• A 47 year-old man of Rosemary Lane was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:19 a.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), failure to drive upon the right, and traveling unreasonably fast.

• A structure fire was reported at 364 Northwood Drive at 10:20 a.m.

Monday, Dec. 26

No arrests were made.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Adirondack Lane at 10:39 a.m. The issue involved property lines. Surveyor stakes were present.

Tuesday, Dec. 27

• A 37 year-old woman of Maple Hill Road was arrested at 7:19 p.m. and charged with illegal possession of narcotics and walking on the roadway while intoxicated.

• A fire was reported at 456 Goose Lane at 10:13 p.m. The fire was reported in a bedroom and the three occupants fled the house prior to fire department arrival.

No arrests were made.

No arrests were made.

• A theft of items from a motor vehicle was investigated at 381 Boston Post Road at 7:51 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 30

No arrests were made.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 570 New England Road. A mailbox was smashed off its post.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 10:06 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 31

• A 38 year-old man of New England Road was arrested at 12:06 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A theft of items from a motor vehicle was investigated at 274 Church Street at 8:56 a.m.

• The theft of a snowman from the front lawn of 71 Michelle Lane was investigated at 10:32 a.m.

Sunday, Jan. 1

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated on White Birch Drive at 2:33 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Sachems Head Road at 5:31 p.m. A woman reported that she feels like she is being stalked when she goes out and wanted advice from police.

Monday, Jan. 2

• A 24 year-old Branford man was arrested at 8:26 p.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the first degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree, larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 25 year-old man of Point Arrowhead Road was arrested at 4:25 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

• A complaint about fraud/flim flam was investigated at 705 Boston Post Road at 11:35 a.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

• An 18 year-old Branford man was arrested at 6:53 a.m. on a warrant charging him with burglary in the third degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the first degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree, larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 25 year-old man of Wauwinet Trail was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:24 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).

Wednesday, Jan. 4

• A 56 year-old man of Flat Iron Road was arrested at 9:36 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
