The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Clinton

Wednesday, Nov. 16

No arrests were made.

• A 36 year-old man of Post Office Square was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:55 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart following a motor vehicle accident without injuries on West Main Street.

• A missing person report was investigated on High Street at 8:05 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 17

• A 38 year-old man of East Main Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:25 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following an initial report of threatening.

• A 14 year-old was arrested at 7:43 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, two counts of assault in the third degree, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor following a domestic dispute on East Main Street.

• A larceny was investigated on South Parkway at 8:48 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 18

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Pine Place at 12:41 p.m.

• The passing of bad check was investigated on East Main Street at 12:43 p.m.

• Threatening was investigated on Silver Birch Lane at 5:35 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 19

No arrests were made.

• A 24 year-old man of Diamond Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:36 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Cream Pot Road, failure to obey a stop sign, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 29 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:31 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Sunnybrook Lane.

Sunday, Nov. 20

• A 20 year-old man of Hunters Ridge Road was arrested at 3:39 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at numerous locations on East Main Street at Killingworth Turnpike between 8 a.m. and 11:32 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 21

No arrests were made.

• A 27 year-old Lyme woman was issued a citation at 12:19 a.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Glenwood Road.

• A burglary was investigated on Airline Road at 1:29 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

No arrests were made.

• A 55 year-old woman of West Shore Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:01 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street.

• Threatening was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 11:26 a.m.

• A theft was investigated on River Road at 1:07 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 5:05 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

• Two 20 year-old Old Saybrook men were arrested at 8:19 a.m. Each party was charged with criminal mischief in the first degree, having weapons in a motor vehicle, and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief.

• A 19 year-old Bridgeport man was issued a citation at 8:52 p.m. for possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Killingworth Turnpike.

• A burglary was investigated on High Street at 7:48 a.m.

• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 9:44 a.m.

• The report of a prowler was investigated on West Shore Drive at 10:03 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 24

No arrests were made.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Waterside Lane at 9:24 a.m.

• A noise complaint was investigated on Long Hill Road at 5:51 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 25

• A 46 year-old woman of Brooklyn, New York was arrested at 1:56 p.m. ad charged with larceny in the fifth degree following a shoplifting incident on Killingworth Turnpike.

• A 46 year-old man of West Main Street was issued a citation at 11:50 p.m. for creating a public disturbance on Dan Vece Junior Way.

• Threatening was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 1:50 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 8:06 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 26

• An 18 year-old man of North Cove Circle was arrested at 1:43 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop on West Main Street at Hull Street.

• A rash of burglaries and car break-ins were investigated on Hurd Bridge Road, Dogwood Lane, Lochbourne Drive, Rocky Ledge Drive, Old Mill Road, Glenwood Road, Iron Works Road, and Fairy Del Road between 2:23 a.m. and 5:05 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 3:40 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 27

No arrests were made.

• A 29 year-old Killingworth woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:37 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to renew registration, and traveling unreasonably fast following a motor vehicle stop on Liberty Street at Fairy Dell Road.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 12:11 p.m.

• A burglary was investigated on Old Mill Road at 2 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 7:54 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 28

• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 6:20 a.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Bright Hill Drive at 8:12 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Indian Drive at 8:18 a.m.

• A burglary was investigated on Ironworks Road at 9:34 a.m.

• A burglary was investigated on Old Mill Road at 11:39 a.m.

• A burglary was investigated on Marian Lane at 12:21 p.m.

Westbrook

Wednesday, Nov. 16

No arrests were made.

• A larceny was investigated at 6:29 p.m. at the Old Navy Store located at 314 Flat Rock Place. The store manager reported that a female came into the store and exited with a red bag filled with items; six boys coats valued at $429.70. The theft occurred at 11:20 a.m. The unknown female left the store running toward the parking lot. She is wanted by police for shoplifting.

• A forced burglary through the front door was investigated at 14 Chapman Beach Road at 6:55 p.m. The suspect(s) stole an iMac 27” desktop computer and a small box of costume jewelry. The burglar(s) left the residence through a rear slider.

Thursday, Nov. 17

• A 22 year-old man of Salisbury, New York was arrested at 6:22 p.m. and charged with three counts of possession of heroin and one count of use or possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop in which the passenger was having an adverse reaction after ingesting an illegal narcotic. He was transported to the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Clinic for treatment.

• A burglary was investigated at 14 Chapman Beach Road at 6:58 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 19

Sunday, Nov. 20

• A 52 year-old man of Seaside Avenue was arrested at 11:04 a.m. on a warrant charging him with breach of peace.

• A 48 year-old woman of Central Falls, Rhode Island was issued a citation at 9:23 p.m. for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after the 2004 Honda CRV she was operating struck the rear of a 2014 Honda Accord operated by a 22 year-old Clinton woman.

Monday, Nov. 21 to Tuesday, Nov. 22

No arrests were made.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

• A 26 year-old Haddam man was arrested at 7:35 p.m. and charged with two counts of use of drug paraphernalia and failure to drive right. Following a motor vehicle stop for improper driving the accused granted permission for the investigating trooper to search the vehicle. The trooper found several glassine baggies commonly used to package heroin, hypodermic needles, and a crack pipe. The accused was processed and turned over to the Guilford Police Department, which held a warrant for crimes committed in their town. Those crimes were assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct as committed against alleged victims ages 57 and 26.

• A 23 year-old Old Saybrook woman was issued a misdemeanor summons for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after the 2010 Honda Civic EX she was operating eastbound on Boston Post Road struck the rear of a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by a 54 year-old Madison woman who was stopped at a red light at the Grove Beach Road intersection. No injuries were reported or observed. The cited driver stated that she did not realize the vehicle in front of her was stopped.

Thursday, Nov. 24

• A 25 year-old Chester man was arrested at 6:41 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and improper parking. The accused was found by another driver parked with the wrong wheels to the curb on North Hammock Road. He was asleep at the wheel when troopers arrived.

• A 49 year-old New London man was arrested and charged with two counts of failure to appear in the first degree after he was stopped for walking along the roadway. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 34 year-old New Britain man was issued a misdemeanor summons for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and speeding.

Friday, Nov. 25 to Saturday, Nov. 26

Sunday, Nov. 27

• A 47 year-old woman of the Ivoryton section of Essex was arrested at 12:49 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive upon the right following a motor vehicle stop on Route 153 (Spencer Plains Road).

• A 23 year-old man of West Pond Meadow Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:26 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat following a motor vehicle stop for the seat belt violation.

• A 20 year-old man of Middlesex Turnpike was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:33 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Lynde Street.

• A 27 year-old Colchester man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:51 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Donnelly Road.

Friday, Nov. 18

• A 47 year-old woman of Gales Ferry was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:10 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Spring Brook Road at Boston Post Road.

• A 40 year-old woman of Hill Street was issued a citation at 2:21 p.m. for failure to vaccinate a dog, owning an unlicensed dog, and allowing a dog to roam on Hill Street.

Saturday, Nov. 19

• A 25 year-old man of Chalker Beach Road was arrested at 12:02 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop on Spencer Plains Road at Boston Post Road.

• A 30 year-old woman of Maplewood Street was arrested at 2:17 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Lynde Street and Maplewood Street.

Sunday, Nov. 20 to Tuesday, Nov. 22

Wednesday, Nov. 23

• A 42 year-old man of Day Drive was arrested at 2:01 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and unsafe movement of a vehicle from a stopped or standing position.

Thursday, Nov. 24

• A 38 year-old Westbrook woman was arrested at 7:14 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 51 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 7:34 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and two counts of having weapons in a motor vehicle. He was processed on a $1,500 surety bond.

Friday, Nov. 25

• A 42 year-old man of Day Drive was arrested at 3:36 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree. He was processed on a $1,500 surety bond.

Saturday, Nov. 26

• A 42 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 3:28 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree under the domestic violence act. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 47 year-old man of Ayers Point Road was arrested at 6:04 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct under the domestic violence act. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 19 year-old Killingworth woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:39 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat, misuse of plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Main Street.

From Nov. 23 to 29 Old Saybrook police issued seven citations to motorists for failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat, four citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, one citation for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and one citation for failure to have stop lamps.
