The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Clinton

Thursday, Oct. 27

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle accident with injuries involving a fire department rescue was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at Glenwood Road at 10:16 a.m.

• A neighbor dispute was investigated on Kenilworth Drive at 12:43 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 28

No arrests were made.

• A noise complaint was investigated on Sol’s Point Road near Shore Road at 7:51 a.m.

Saturday, Oct. 29

No arrests were made.

• A 30 year-old man of Killingworth Turnpike was issued a citation at 1:59 a.m. for use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana after he also charged with having the improper number of headlights following a motor vehicle stop on Glenwood Road.

• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated on East Main Street at 10:55 a.m.

• A complaint about harassment was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 11:39 a.m.

• A noise complaint was investigated on Grove Street at 11:38 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 30

No arrests were made.

• Threatening was investigated on East Main Street at 2:50 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 31

• A 45 year-old man was arrested at 4:43 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the fifth degree, larceny in the third degree, illegal use of a credit card, and using a motor vehicle with permission.

• A 26 year-old New London woman of arrested at 9:17 a.m. on a warrant charging her with larceny in the second degree.

• A complaint about an intoxicated person was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 3:31 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated on East Main Street at 5:11 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

• A 47 year-old man of Old Mill Road was arrested at 8:19 p.m. and charged with drunkenness following an investigation into a welfare concern on North High Street near Nod Road.

• A complaint about threatening was investigated on Meadow Road at 2:55 p.m.

• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Riverside Drive at 2:56 p.m.

• A neighbor dispute was investigated on Riverside Drive at 6:10 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 2

• A 38 year-old man of Ninety Rod Road was arrested at 5:43 p.m. and charged with criminal violation of a protective order, larceny in the sixth degree, harassment in the second degree, and criminal mischief in the third degree.

• A larceny was investigated on East Main Street at 10:42 a.m.

Thursday, Nov. 3

No arrests were made.

• A 43 year-old Higganum man was issued a citation at 6:37 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and operating an unregistered motor vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Glenwood Road.

• The report of a missing person was investigated on Shore Road at 9:17 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 4

• A 29 year-old man of Grove Street was arrested at 4:58 p.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the sixth degree and making a false statement in the first degree (via certified payroll).

• An 18 year-old man of Kings Grant Road was arrested at 5:07 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and using a motor vehicle or vessel without the owner’s permission following a domestic dispute.

• An untimely death was investigated on Airline Road at 7:49 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 12:46 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 5

• A 14 year-old juvenile was arrested at 3:45 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act. In the same incident a 33 year-old woman of East Main Street was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Thrush Cross Road Extension at 6:50 a.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 4:11 p.m.

• A complaint about an intoxicated person was investigated on East Main Street at 4:24 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 6

• A 45 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 1:17 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to have tail lamps lit or illuminated marker plate.

• A 52 year-old Killingworth man was arrested at 2:07 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of narcotics, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, drinking while operating a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Killingworth Turnpike.

• A 55 year-old Westbrook woman was arrested at 6:29 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle crash without injuries on East Main Street.

Monday, Nov. 7

• A 67 year-old Haddam man was arrested at 9:23 a.m. on a warrant charging him with sexual assault in the second degree.

• A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 3:28 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 8

No arrests were made.

• A 41 year-old man of West Main Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:31 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

• Harassment was investigated on Mary Mac Loop at 7:40 p.m.

Westbrook

Wednesday, Oct. 26

• A 57 year-old Higganum man was arrested at 4:48 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Thursday, Oct. 27

No arrests were made.

• A larceny was investigated on Boston Post Road at 2:09 p.m. Two leaf blowers and two weed-wackers were stolen off the trailer bed of a work truck that was parked on Old Salt Works Road on Oct. 26 between 4 and 5 p.m. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call Trooper Gregory Hunter at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept condidential.

• A year-old Old Saybrook woman was issued a written warning at 5:56 p.m. for traveling too fast for conditions after the 1997 Ford Escort she was operating struck the rear of a 2009 Toyota Camry operated by a 61 year-old man of Boston Post Road. The operator of the struck vehicle was transported to the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Clinic via Westbrook Volunteer Ambulance for treatment of minor neck pain.

Friday, Oct. 28

No arrests were made.

• A 27 year-old woman was issued a citation at 1:04 p.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart after the 2008 Hyundai Sonata she was operating southbound on Route 153 struck the rear of a 2008 Volvo XC90 operated by a 20 year-old Essex woman. No injuries were reported or observed.

• A 51 year-old man of Nantucket, Massachusetts was arrested at 12:39 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and improper parking.

Monday, Nov. 31 to Wednesday, Nov. 2

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Nov. 3

• A 51 year-old Guilford man was arrested at 2:12 a.m. and charged with failure to appear in the first degree and two counts of failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed on a combined $21,000 surety bond.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at Atlantic Outboard located at 475 Boston Post Road at 2:34 p.m. Sales Manager Ethan Cusson reported that he found an 18- to 20-foot-long scratch on the hull of a 35-foot Pursuit cabin cruiser. Also scratched into the hull was the name “Trump.” The vessel was estimated to have a retail value of $500,000, and the cost to repair the gel coat on hull $8,000 to $10,000. Police reported Cusson had no idea when the damage was done or who was responsible.

Friday, Nov. 4

• A 46 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 10:47 a.m. and charged with reckless driving.

Saturday, Nov. 5

• A 57 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:41 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• The theft of a 14 carat gold horseshoe diamond ring from a private residence was investigated on Magna Lane. The theft occurred sometime between the end of October and the first week of November. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Gregory Hunter at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.

Old Saybrook

Wednesday, Oct. 26

• A 64 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 5:22 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to keep a prescription narcotic in its original container, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 36 year-old Deep River woman was arrested at 10:27 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics on a warrant held by Old Saybrook police.

Thursday, Oct. 27

• A 20 year-old woman of Baum Avenue was arrested at 5:57 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree under the Domestic Violence Act. In the same incident a 19 year-old man was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief in the third degree.

Friday, Oct. 28

• A 52 year-old Essex woman was arrested at 5:06 p.m. and charged with failure to appear in the second degree on a warrant. During the investigation she was also charged breach of peace in the second degree under the Domestic Violence Act.

Saturday, Oct. 29

• A 21 year-old man of Medford, Massachusetts was arrested at 3:44 a.m. and charged with illegal possession of marijuana.

• A 31 year-old Groton woman was arrested at 4:12 p.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree on a warrant held by Old Saybrook police.

• A 21 year-old Mystic man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:54 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and improper use of marker plate.

Sunday, Oct. 30

No arrests were made.

Monday, Nov. 31

• An 18 year-old man of Anchorage Lane was arrested at 5:05 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

No arrests were made.

• A 34 year-old Clinton man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:07 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Lynde Street at Ledge Road.

Wednesday, Nov. 2

No arrests were made.

• A 37 year-old man of Thompson Road was issued a citation at 4:38 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana.

• A 49 year-old man of Fenwood Avenue was arrested at 6:01 p.m. on a warrant charging him with assault in the third degree and risk of injury to a minor under the Domestic Violence Act. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 41 year-old Madison man was arrested at 7:23 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree on a warrant held by the old Saybrook Police Department. He was processed and released on a $450 cash bond.

Friday, Nov. 4

• A 59 year-old Southington woman was arrested at 1 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and traveling unreasonably fast.

• A 16 year-old was arrested at 5:34 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree. The youth was processed and released and referred to juvenile matters.

• A 44 year-old Old Lyme man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:08 a.m. for traveling unreasonably fast and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on Ingham Hill Road near the railroad bridge.

• A 20 year-old woman of Baum Avenue was issued a citation at 4:52 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road near Elm Street.

Saturday, Nov. 5

No arrests were made.

• An 18 year-old Clinton man was issued a citation for traveling unreasonably fast on Boston Post Road near the railroad bridge.

Sunday, Nov. 6

No arrests were made.

• A 21 year-old Monroe man was issued a citation at 8:50 p.m. for traveling unreasonably fast following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 near the railroad bridge. In the same incident a 21 year-old woman of Obed Heights Road was issued a citation for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana.

Monday, Nov. 7

• A 26 year-old man of Maplewood Street was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with possession of fireworks, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to notify of change of address. He was processed on a $1,500 surety bond.
