Police Incident Report for Oct. 19 to Nov. 1


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Oct. 19 to Thursday, Oct. 20

No arrests were made.

Friday, Oct. 21

• A 36 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:08 a.m. and charged with violation of a protective order.

Saturday, Oct. 22

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Oct. 23

• A 25 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear for a motor vehicle summons.

• A 35 year-old man of Halethrope, Maryland was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:47 a.m. for traveling too fast for conditions, disobeying the sign of an officer for the first time, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and failure to maintain the reasonable distance apart.

• A 63 year-old Wallingford woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:13 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Monday, Oct. 24

No arrests were made.

• A 22 year-old Meriden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:50 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper license classification for vehicle driven.

Tuesday, Oct. 25

No arrests were made.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

• An 18 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

• A 24 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:16 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle while without insurance, failure to display plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Thursday, Oct. 27

No arrests were made.

• A 61 year-old East Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:41 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 36 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:53 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plate, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper license classification for vehicle

Friday, Oct. 28

• A 43 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 9:30 p.m. and charged disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency 911 call.

Saturday, Oct. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 30

No arrests were made.

Monday, Nov. 31

No arrests were made.

• A 38 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 8:15 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

• A 64 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 1:39 p.m. and charged with breach of peace and possession of a loaded firearm while under the influence of alcohol.

• A 22 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:12 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

From Oct. 18 to Nov. 1, North Haven police issued seven citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, four citations for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, four citations for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart, four citations to motorists for speeding, three citations for failure to obey a stop sign, three citations for failure to obey a control signal, and two citations for failure to renew registration. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to renew registration, failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat, traveling unreasonably fast, improper license classification for vehicle driven, and failure to carry insurance identification.
