Police Incident Report for June 15 to 21


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Clinton

Wednesday, June 15

• A 40 year-old woman of East Main Street was arrested at 9:30 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A burglary was investigated at West Main Street at 8:33 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated on West Main Street at 10:32 a.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Olde Orchard Street at 2:29 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated on Menunketesuck Drive at 2:21 p.m.

Thursday, June 16

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated on Shore Road at 12:12 p.m.

Friday, June 17

• A 26 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 11:51 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A larceny was investigated on Carter Hill Road at 9:19 a.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Ninety Rod Road at 10:10 a.m.

Saturday, June 18

No arrests were made.

• A 48 year-old East Lyme man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:20 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Shore Road at Sol’s Point Road.

• A 62 year Branford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:21 pm. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to renew registration, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on John Street Extension.

• A missing person complaint was investigated on Cedar Road at 7:14 a.m.

• A missing person complaint was investigated on Riverside Drive at 10:20 p.m.

Sunday, June 19

No arrests were made.

• A 41 year-old man of Fairy Dell Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:48 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).

• A theft involving an automobile was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 1:23 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Willow Lane at 8:29 p.m.

Monday, June 20

No arrests were made.

• A burglary was investigated on Grove Street at 8:32 a.m.

Tuesday, June 21

• A 53 year-old man of an old Mill Road apartment was arrested at 3:17 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree under the domestic violence act.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on East Main Street at 3:59 p.m.

Westbrook

Wednesday, June 15

• A 26 year-old Old Saybrook man was arrested at 1:44 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Thursday, June 16

No arrests were made.

• A 54 year-old Cheshire woman was issued a citation at 12:28 p.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart after the 2011 Honda Pilot EX she was operating on Essex Road struck the rear of a 1998 BMW 540i operated by a 63 year-old man of Loop Road who was stopped for a traffic control signal or sign. No injuries were reported or observed.

Friday, June 17

No arrests were made.

Saturday, June 18

No arrests were made.

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:45 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and reckless driving.

Sunday, June 19

No arrests were made.

Monday, June 20

• A 22 year-old Ivoryton man was arrested at 12:07 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation.

Tuesday, June 21

No arrests were made.

Old Saybrook

Wednesday, June 15

No arrests were made.

• A 23 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:22 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident) and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 36 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:30 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and traveling unreasonably fast following a motor vehicle stop on Elm Street near Route 1.

Thursday, June 16

No arrests were made.

Friday, June 17

• A 42 year-old man of Richmond, Kentucky was arrested at 11:09 p.m. and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon. He was held in lieu of a $1,500 bond.

• A 42 year-old man of East Main Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:40 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and failure to carry a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road near Elm Street.

• Several young people were issued citations for simple trespass at 13 Watrous Point Road at 10:31 p.m. Those cited included the following: two 18 year-old Essex men, a 23 year-old Westbrook man, an 18 year-old Ivoryton man, a 22 year-old Middlefield man, a 22 year-old Madison man, a 33 year-old Essex man, a 24 year-old Middletown man, a 19 year-old West Hartford man, an 18 year-old Deep River woman, a 21 year-old Ivoryton man, and an 18 year-old Chester man.

Saturday, June 18

• A 59 year-old Chester man was arrested at 3:16 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, forgery in the third degree, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, uses or possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of less than four ounces of marijuana.

Sunday, June 19

No arrests were made.

• A 41 year-old Branford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:10 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper use of marker plate, failure to carry a driver’s license, and failure to have tail lamps or illuminated rear marker plate.

• A 28 year-old woman of Maple Avenue was issued a citation at 3:48 a.m. for creating a public disturbance at 25 Sherman Street.

Monday, June 20

• A 51 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 12:39 p.m. and charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 19 year-old Deep River woman was arrested at 6:29 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, forgery in the third degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. In the same incident a 19 year-old Ivoryton woman was charged with larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana.
