Branford
Wednesday, June 1
• A 54 year-old man of Elizabeth Street was arrested at 9:07 p.m. and charged with breach of peace.
• A 52 year-old Guilford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:56 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Thursday, June 2
No arrests were made.
Friday, June 3
• A 25 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 2 p.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 28 year-old Meriden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:10 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 30 year-old man of North Branford Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:25 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).
Saturday, June 4
• A 24 year-old woman of a Florence Road apartment was arrested at 1 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree.
• A 43 year-old man of a Briarwood Lane apartment was issued a misdemeanor summons at
6:27 p.m. for operating a motor while under license or registration suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper use of marker plate.
Sunday, June 5
• A 45 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the second degree and larceny in the sixth degree.
Monday, June 6
• A 32 year-old woman of Springfield, Massachusetts was arrested at 7 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A 53 year-old man of Alps Road was arrested at 8:47 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A 27 year-old Shelton woman was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree.
Tuesday, June 7
No arrests were made.
From June 1 to 7 Branford police also issued 19 citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, 16 citations for failure to obey a control signal, 15 citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, 13 citations for traveling unreasonably fast, three citations for failure to obey state traffic commission street signs and markings, three citations for failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat, two citations for failure to wear face protection, two citations for failure to obey a stop sign, one citation for failure to yield right of way, one citation for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, and one citation for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.
North Branford
Wednesday, June 1
No arrests were made.
• A 21 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:26 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plate, and operation of a motor vehicle by a person 18 or older in violation of learner’s permit regulations. She was operating a tan 2001 Mazda Protégé.
Thursday, June 2
• A 30 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 7:31 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A 38 year-old man of Branford man was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree.
Friday, June 3
• A 22 year-old Durham man was arrested at 5:10 p.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
Saturday, June 4
• A 33 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 1:47 a.m. and charged with illegal possession of narcotics and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sunday, June 5
• A 40 year-old woman of Middletown Avenue in Northford was arrested at 2:13 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.
Monday, June 6
No arrests were made.
Tuesday, June 7
• A 33 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 5:09 p.m. and charged with having weapons in a motor vehicle, larceny in the sixth degree, robbery in the third degree, interfering with an officer, assault on a police officer, breach of peace in the second degree, assault in the third degree, threatening, and reckless endangerment in the second degree.
From June 1 to 7 North Branford police issued seven citations to motorists for traveling unreasonably fast, four citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, two citations for improper passing/cutting in, two citations for having an improper muffler, and two counts of operating an all-terrain vehicle without registration. One citation was issued for each of the following: improper muffler, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, traveling too fast for conditions, failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to display plate, using a hand-held cell phone while driving, and operating a motor cycle without a license endorsement.
