Police Incident Report for May 18 to 31

Madison

Wednesday, May 18

• A 20 year-old man of Sportsman Hill Road was arrested at 1:46 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to signal a turn, and failure to have tail lamps following a motor vehicle stop on Wall Street at Boston Post Road.

• A 30 year-old Guilford man was arrested at 4:25 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, stalking in the third degree, and disorderly conduct.

• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated on Durham Road at Horse Pond Road at 7:32 a.m.

• A motor vehicle accident with injuries was investigated on Boston Post Road at Nathans Lane at 10:27 a.m.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 273 Horse Pond Road at 2:45 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated at 93 Legend Hill Road at 5:40 p.m.

Thursday, May 19

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance was reported at 38 Fence Creek Drive at 2 p.m.

• Criminal trespass was investigated at 560 Durham Road at 6:33 p.m.

Friday, May 20

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 70 Twilight Drive at 10:07 a.m.

• A theft was investigated at 115 Overbrook Road at 11:30a.m.

Saturday, May 21

• A 21 year-old man of Old Farms Road was arrested at 1:29 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to signal a turn following a motor vehicle stop on Randi Drive at Durham Road.

Sunday, May 22

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 56 River Edge Farms Road at 12:29 p.m.

Monday, May 23

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle accident with injuries was investigated on Mungertown Road at Boston Post Road at 4:07 a.m.

• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated on Green Hill Road at Durham Road at 2:43 p.m.

• A theft was investigated at 286 Green Hill Road at 3:36 p.m.

• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated on Green Hill Road at Horse Pond Road at 7:16 p.m.

Tuesday, May 24

• A 53 year-old man of Scotland Road was arrested at noon on a warrant charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

• Criminal mischief on private property was investigated at 411 Boston Post Road at 12:39 p.m.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 16 Nathans Lane at 10:55 a.m.

• A complaint about an unwanted person or persons was investigated at 82 Genesee Lane at 10:26 p.m.

Wednesday, May 25

No arrests were made.

• A stray dog was found on Warpas Road and placed in the animal shelter at 8:23 a.m.

• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated on Old Toll Road at Durham Road at 5:12 p.m.

• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated in front of 825 Boston Post Road at 7:12 p.m.

Thursday, May 26

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 56 Indigo Trail at 11:56 a.m.

• Criminal trespass was investigated on Seaview Avenue near Brookside Avenue at 3:31 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 47 Mendingwall Circle at 6:16 p.m.

Friday, May 27

• The theft of a motor vehicle was investigated at 130 Scotland Road at 8:40 a.m.

• A liquor law violation was investigated at 142 Samson Rock Drive at 9:20 a.m.

• Harassment was invested at 271 Old Toll Road at 12:23 p.m.

• A theft via shoplifting was investigated at 514 Old Toll Road at 5:13 p.m.

• A motor vehicle accident with injuries was investigated in front of 268 Boston Post Road at 8:48 p.m.

Killingworth

Wednesday, May 18 to Thursday, May 19

No arrests were made.

Friday, May 20

• A juvenile was arrested at 6:38 a.m. and charged with breach of peace and criminal trespass. Killingworth Resident Trooper Matthew Ewing responded to the area of 9 Warwick Drive for the report of an adult male walking southbound on the road carrying a pistol in his hand. The male was described as wearing brown pants and a dark shirt. With the assistance of additional troopers, the suspect was observed crouching beneath a window at 18 Warwickshire Drive and pointing a firearm south toward the corner of the home. He was then disarmed and detained. It was later determined the male was a juvenile resident of Killingworth and that the firearm was a squirt gun that had been painted black and partially covered with black tape. The juvenile admitted that he was involved in the game of “Assassin” and that he was waiting for a female player to exit the residence that turned out to be the wrong residence. The would-be victim of the game resided further south. Following processing, the accused was released to his father’s custody at the scene and was scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court, Juvenile Matters, on June 1.

Saturday, May 21 to Sunday, May 22

Monday, May 23

No arrests were made.

• A 77 year-old woman of Jackson Road was issued a citation at 5:07 p.m. for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway after the 2014 Ford Edge she was operating southbound on Route 79 collided head-on with a 2007 Nissan Altima operated by a 22 year-old Madison woman. The 22 year-old was transported by Killingworth EMS to the Yale-New Haven Shoreline Medical Clinic in Guilford for medical evaluation. The collision occurred at the intersection of Routes 148 and 79.

Tuesday, May 24 to Monday, May 30

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, May 31

• An 18 year-old man of Schnoor Road was arrested at 10:10 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree. He was also issued a misdemeanor summons for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A 40 year-old woman of Schnoor Road was arrested at 1:55 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to pay or plead a citation.

• A 21 year-old Clinton woman was issued a verbal warning at 2:27 p.m. for failure to grant right of way to oncoming traffic after the 2004 Honda CR-V she was operating collided with a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis operated by a 79 year-old woman of Swan Lake Trail. The Swan Lake Trail woman was issued a verbal warning for making an unsafe movement of a vehicle from a stopped or standing position. The crash occurred at the intersection of Routes 80 and 81. No injuries were reported or observed.
