Police Incident Report May 11 to 17


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, May 11

No arrests were made.

Thursday, May 12

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

• A 20 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 11:56 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 47 year-old Meriden woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:21 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspensions, and failure to renew registration.

• A 35 year-old Naugatuck man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:43 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 27 year-old Waterbury woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:11 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, misuse of plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 23 year-old man of Park Road was issued a citation at 9 a.m. for creating an animal nuisance and allowing a dog to road.

Friday, May 13

No arrests were made.

Saturday, May 14

No arrests were made.

• A 31 year-old Willimantic man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:10 p.m. for operating an motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and having tinted windows without a DMV approval sticker.

• A 49 year-old East Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:29 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and misuse of plate.

Sunday, May 15

No arrests were made.

• A 35 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:10 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 36 year-old woman of Elm Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:37 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to have tail lamps.

Monday, May 16

• An 18 year-old man of Del Avenue was arrested at 5:39 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Tuesday, May 17

No arrests were made.

From May 11 to 17 North Haven police issued 12 citations to motorist for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, four citations for failure to renew registration, and two citations for failure to obey a control signal. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to carry driver’s license, failure to grant right of way to a pedestrian, failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart, and failure to obey state traffic commission road signs and markings.
