The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, April 28

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated at 1591 Boston Post Road at 8:44 a.m. A patient was harassing staff at Guilford Family Practice.

• A raccoon was reported in a playhouse at 15 Whitfield Street at 10:26 a.m.

• A skunk was reported on the side of the building at Bed, Bath & Beyond, 1900 Boston Post Road.

• A theft was investigated at 705 Boston Post Road at 10:54 a.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Willow Road at 8:34 p.m.

• Harassment via text was investigated on Maplehurst Road at 8:56 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 2800 block of Boston Post Road at 10:22 p.m.

Friday, April 29

• A 33 year-old man of Old Whitfield Street was arrested at 4:11 p.m. and charged with disseminating voyeurism material.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 62 Tuttle Point Road at 11:17 a.m. Someone attempted to open a commercial driver’s license application in the complainant’s name.

• A complaint about fraud involving illegal credit card charges was investigated at 42 Willow Road at 2:31 p.m.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at a store at 1919 Boston Post Road at 7:37 p.m.

• A theft of packages off the front porch of 70 Round Hill Road was investigated at 5:40 p.m. The thefts were reported as an ongoing problem.

Saturday, April 30

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance was reported at 6 Hunter Drive at 9:25 a.m. A squirrel had its claw stuck in a bird feeder. The squirrel freed itself before police arrived.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 200 block of Durham Road at 11:02 a.m.

• A breach of peace incident was investigated on Russet Drive at 11:05 a.m. Yelling was reported by an anonymous caller.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Dohm Avenue at 5:33 p.m. A neighbor was dumping unknown material from a dump trailer on the complainant’s driveway.

Sunday, May 1

• A 56 year-old man of Still Meadow Road was arrested at 7:08 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief in the third degree, and threatening in the second degree.

• Breach of peace was investigated on Still Meadow Road at 3:13 p.m.

Monday, May 2

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated on Greenwood Lane at 7:14 p.m.

Tuesday, May 3

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about identification theft was at 115 Church Street at 12:02 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1000 Boston Post Road at 1:14 p.m. A man at a bus stop on Route 1 at State Street allegedly threw something at cars.

• A complaint about the theft of bank papers was investigated at 42 Union Street at 5:58 p.m.

Wednesday, May 4

No arrests were made.

• A landlord verses tenant dispute was investigated on Russet Drive at 7:47 pm. The landlord was allegedly interfering with the tenant’s packing.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 2 Partridge Lane at 3:46 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on the 400 block of Church Street at 4:23 p.m.

Thursday, May 5

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about fraud via computer was investigated at 1825 Route 80 at 3 p.m.

• An animal nuisance complaint was investigated on Hart Road at 5:11 p.m. A grey female pitbull terrier was roaming. Police could not find the dog upon arrival.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated at Boston Terrace at 10:15 p.m. The incident was an ongoing problem with an resident of the housing complex.

Friday, May 6

No arrests were made.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 200 Squaw Lane at 9:49 a.m. Damage was done to a tree with staples.

• A theft of mail was investigated at 11 Robin Lane at 10:09 a.m.

• A theft was investigated at 114 Michael Drive at 1:26 p.m.

• A threatening/harassment incident was investigated at 872 Nut Plains Road at 5 p.m.

Saturday, May 7

No arrests were made.

• Harassment via email was investigated at 400 Church Street at 8:33 a.m.

• A complaint about a neighbor’s kids riding dirt bikes until midnight was investigated on the 1500 block of Long Hill Road at 12:50 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on the 500 block of Durham Road at 7:30 p.m.

• A complaint about a loud party with loud music was investigated on Hungry Hill Circle at 11:32 p.m.

Sunday, May 8

No arrests were made.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Mafre Drive at 12:50 p.m.

• An animal complaint was investigated at 592 Route 80 at 6:31 p.m. A beagle was found in the back yard.

Monday, May 9

• A 23 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 7:42 p.m. and charged with three counts of burglary in the third degree, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, and use of possession of drug paraphernalia containing marijuana.

• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at 182 Tanner Marsh Road at 1:53 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 23 Guilford Court at 2:43 p.m. The damage was done when the complainant was away at hospital.

• A burglary was investigated at 99 Denison Drive at 6:24 p.m.

• A breach of peace incident between two residents was investigated at the senior housing complex at 10 Boston Post Road at 9:55 p.m.

Tuesday, May 10

No arrests were made.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 2600 block of Durham Road at 9:35 a.m.

• A search and seizure warrant was served at 400 Church Street at 2:33 p.m.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated at 8 Boston Terrace at 5:39. The incident was part of an ongoing problem with a particular resident of the housing complex.

Wednesday, May 11

No arrests were made.

• A breach of peace incident was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 12:50 p.m.

• The theft of a wallet from a parked vehicle was investigated at 1057 Boston Post Road at 1:26 p.m.

From April 28 to May 11, Guilford Police received 341 calls for service. Police made three arrests, investigated 30 motor vehicle accidents, and issued 20 citations, 146 written warnings, one verbal warning, and seven parking tags. Police also responded to 20 false burglar alarms. A total of 643 incidents were handled by police.
