Thursday, Aug. 20
• A 54 year-old woman was arrested at 11:04 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).
• A 21 year-old East Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:11 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to obey a control signal. He was operating a black 2001 Mercury.
Friday, Aug. 21
• A 49 year-old woman of Chidsey Drive was arrested at 10:10 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive right.
Saturday, Aug. 22
No arrests were made.
• A 32 year-old Old Saybrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:55 a.m. for misuse of plate, failure to have insurance, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was operating a white 2003 ford F-550.
Sunday, Aug. 23 - Tuesday, Aug. 25
No arrests were made.
From August 12 to 26 North Branford police also issued 14 citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to set parking break, failure to grant right of way, using a hand-held cell phone while driving, and traveling unreasonably fast.
