Guilford Police Incident Report for Aug. 20 to 23


Thursday, Aug. 20

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance was investigated at 360 Race Hill Road at 11:31 a.m. A complainant reported that a horse was close to the road and that the owner of the horse swore at the complainant. Police determined there was no violation and that the horse was on the owner's property.

• Harassment/neighbor trouble was reported at Boston Terrace.

• A fraud complaint was investigated at 4:55 p.m. Phone calls were made to a cell phone of a complainant at 245 Woodland Road asking for money.

Friday, Aug. 21

• A 47 year-old woman of Village Victoria was arrested at 9:45 p.m. charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive a reasonable distance.

• A cow was reported in the road near Hoop Pole Road on the 3100 block of Durham Road.

• Harassment was investigated at 116 Whitfield Street at 7:43 p.m. A complainant reported that an ex-employee fraudulently booked an expensive appointment with Lis A Lis Salon. The complainant wanted to document the incident.

Saturday, Aug. 22

No arrests were made.

• At 10:43 a.m. the owner of Grass Island Market, 301 Boston Post Road, reported that the company mail box was damaged during the overnight hours.

• Harassment was investigated on the 100 block of Barker Hill Road at 3:35 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 23

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about the fraudulent use of a Facebook account was investigated at 203 Nortontown Road at 9:08 a.m.

• A juvenile was reported out of control on Dromara Drive and trying to hurt his or her parents at 9:26 p.m.
