• A 53 year-old man of Schoolhouse Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:51 a.m. for failure to have insurance and improper use of marker plate.

• A 48 year-old Waterbury man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:13 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and speeding.
Saturday, Aug. 8
No arrests were made.
• A 22 year-old Cobalt man was issued a citation at 4:53 p.m. for traveling too fast for conditions after he lost control of the 2005 Pontiac GTO he was operating in heavy rain and struck a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix operated by a 53 year-old Meriden man. No injuries were reported at the scene as a result of the crash.
