Guilford Police Incident Report for June 4 and 5


Thursday, June 4

No arrests were made.

• Identity theft was investigated at 443 West Lake Avenue at 8:19 a.m. A credit card account was opened in the complainant's name.

• A theft was investigated at 553 Maple Hill Road at 9:04 a.m. Gold was taken.

• At 9:45 a.m. the animal control officer investigated the report of a bat in a woman's garage at 41 Copper Hill Road.

• At 11 a.m. police reported that brush was left on town property on State Street, possibly by a neighbor.

• A report of harassing phone calls received at 5 Cornfield Lane was investigated at 1:07 p.m. The calls were between two parties that are not supposed to have contact with each other.

Friday, June 5

No arrests were made.

• A fraud complaint was investigated at 130 White Birch Drive at 8:32 a.m. Accounts were illegally opened in the complainant's name.

• An animal nuisance was investigated at 120 Goose Lane at 8:49 a.m. A goose flew into a woman's car near a pond. The animal control officer reported the "goose got up and walked away from me."

• A fraud complaint was investigated at 290 Tanner Marsh Road at 4:57 p.m. involving an alleged unpaid electric bill.

• A fraud complaint was investigated at 1200 Boston Post Road at 5:08 p.m. A caller who claimed to be from Eversource attempted to collect on an alleged unpaid electric bill.

• At 8:12 p.m. a caller reported that four to five juveniles were standing on the roof of the red house on Grass Island. The juveniles were gone when police arrived.
