East Haven Police Incident Report for July 2 to 4


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. 

Wednesday, July 2

• A 27 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:15 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and three counts of violation of a standing criminal restraining order. He was processed on a $15,000 bond amount.

• A 26 year-old Branford man was arrested at 12:22 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 58 year-old homeless man was arrested at 2:16 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and reckless endangerment in the second degree. He was processed on a $30,000 bond amount.

• A 51 year-old homeless man was arrested at 4:46 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree.

• A 33 year-old man of Glen haven Road was arrested at 6:19 p.m. and charged with illegal cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of greater than four ounces of marijuana, illegal possession of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school or public housing, and conspiracy to commit illegal cultivation, conspiracy to possesses a controlled substance, and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance near a school or public housing. He was processed on a $5,000 bond amount.

• A 24 year-old Hamden woman was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Thursday, July 3

• A 46 year-old Branford man was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with harassment in the first degree, criminal violation of a protective order, and threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $10,000 bond amount.

• A 26 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call. He was processed on a $2,500 bond amount.

• A 23 year-old homeless man was arrested at 8:30 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed on a $15,000 bond amount.

• A 28 year-old woman of a Kenneth Street apartment was arrested at 9:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault on a person age 60 or older or who is handicapped, and strangulation in the second degree. She was processed on a $25,000 bond amount.

Friday, July 4

No arrests were made.
