East Haven Police Incident Report for Nov. 16 and 17

The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Saturday, Nov. 16

• A 27 year-old Branford woman (the same woman from November 13) was arrested at 12:40 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, breach of peace in the second degree, stalking in the first degree, and two counts of criminal violation of a protective order. She was processed on a $7,500 bond amount.

• A 27 year-old man of North High Street was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of narcotics, failure to keep a prescription drug in its original container, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Boxford Street. He was processed on a $1,000 bond amount.

Sunday, Nov. 17

• An 18 year-old Milford man was arrested at 3:08 p.m. and charged with reckless driving, reckless endangerment in the first degree, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, disobeying the signal of an officer (first offense), operating an all terrain vehicle on a highway, and failure to obey the signal of an officer. He was processed on a $5,000 bond amount. In the same incident a 19 year-old Shelton man and a 17 year-old Milford youth were charged with the same. Around 1 p.m. police responded to the area of Massachusetts Avenue following the report of quads and dirt bikes being operated on the roadway. More complaints were received about the same on Boston Avenue and Proto Drive. The operators fled when police arrived. Just after 3 p.m. police spotted three men loading dirt bikes and a quad onto a trailer on Boston Avenue. One male fled the scene on a dirt bike and was not located. Police learned that the men had trailed their ATVs to East Haven from Milford and Shelton.

• A 59 year-old man of Branhaven Drive was arrested at 4:47 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. In the same incident a 27 year-old man (a relation of the other arrestee) was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree.

Senior correspondent Jason J. Marchi compiles the Police Incident Report.
