North Haven Police Incident Report for April 29 to May 1


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Sunday, April 29

• An 18 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 3 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive right.

• A 27 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1:52 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 19 year-old Meriden woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:45 p.m. for leaving a child unattended.

Monday, April 30

• No arrests were made.

Tuesday, May 1

• A 21 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 9:09 p.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat.

• From April 25 to May 1 North Haven police also issued eight citations to motorists for traveling unreasonably fast, two citations for failure to obey a control signal, two citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, two citations for failure to obey a stop sign, two citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, and two citations for failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to obey signs or markings, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, driving too close with intent to harass, and having articles or objects obstructing the view through the windshield.
