Barbara Lindner
Barbara Konrad Lindner (May 12, 1931 - June 6, 2024) began her journey in Glendale, New York. She attended P.S. 13 and graduated from Mary Louis Academy with honors.
After graduating from Ladycliff College, she began her career as a kindergarten and first grade educator. Her gift to the world was teaching hundreds of children to read at the Abraham Pierson School in Clinton. She married Ernest Lindner, and they made Old Saybrook their home.
Barbara loved animals of all kinds, but took a special interest in Collies and Shetland sheepdogs showing her prized “children” throughout the country. Her other interests included travel, reading and casinos. Barbara never met a penny slot she didn’t like.
Barbara leaves her sister, Arlene Frank of Deep River, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her younger brother, Herb Konrad.
The family would like to express thanks and gratitude to the staff at Apple Rehab, Old Saybrook, for the attention and care they provided Barbara in the last year of her life.
