04/11/2024 11:06 AMOn March 26, 2024, Michael Anthony Fonicello, 71, a longtime resident of Guilford, passed away at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown. Michael was born in Middletown on Oct. 26, 1952, son of the late Pasquale Fonicello and Lucille M. (Ansalone) Fonicello. He was the beloved brother of Thomas Fonicello of Guilford and the late Stephen Anthony Fonicello. Michael is also survived by his aunt Helen and aunt Doris and many cousins.
Michael is a 1970 graduate of Guilford High School and attended business classes at the University of New Haven. He owned his own landscaping company. Michael’s passion was playing music on his bass guitar. He played at numerous venues along the East Coast. Michael was also an avid fisherman.
Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, which will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford. Burial will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston Street, Guilford.
