Richard Salvati

Richard V. “Rick” Salvati of Branford passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on March 20, 2024, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Candace Randall Salvati. Rick was born Nov. 17, 1955, in New Haven, a son of Louise Bianchi Salvati of Branford (formerly of West Haven) and the late George Salvati. He was the proud owner-operator of R & S Roofing in Branford, known as “Rick the Roofer” to many for over 40 years.

Besides Candace and his mother, Rick is survived by his sons, Ryan Salvati and Michael Fries of West Haven, and Daniel (Dawn) Fries of East Haven; his siblings, George (Nancy) Salvati and Carol (Kevin) Nason of West Haven; five grandchildren; and his godson Kevin Nason.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing off the dock, riding his Harley Davidson, Sunday football, and spending time with his family and friends.
