02/01/2024 01:50 PMPhyllis Julianelle Leidhecker, 94, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2024, at Apple Rehab Laural Woods, East Haven. Born in New Haven on Dec. 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles I. and Helen F. Hanchette Julianelle. Phyllis worked at the Marlin Firearms Company for 22 years until her retirement in 1992. She lived in Wallingford for many years before moving to North Haven. Phyllis was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church, where she was a member of its Ladies Guild and also a member of the North Haven Senior Center.
Beloved mother of Donna (Glenn) McDowell. Loving grandmother of Lorraine DeGroat and Nakia Leon. Sister-in-Law of Frances and Patricia Julianelle. Also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by her brothers, Charles F. and Richard D. Julianelle.
The visiting hours will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
