Carol Voigt

Carol Mack Voigt passed away peacefully on Nov. 25, 2023, at the age of 80, after a long illness. She is survived by her devoted husband William “Bill” Voigt, who was by her side every day. She is further survived by three daughters, Cathy Murphy (Robert), Cari Christman (Jason), and Christy Bernard; stepdaughter Amber Voigt; and stepson Erik Voigt (Starr). She also has eight grandchildren whom she adored. She was predeceased by a granddaughter and her youngest sister.

Carol was raised in Trumbull and chose Old Saybrook to raise her family. She spent over 50 years in Old Saybrook, many of them active in town politics and with her church.

Her burial will be privately held at the State Veteran Cemetery in Middletown. A celebration of Carol’s Life was held at noon on Nov. 29, at the Westbrook Congregational Church, 1166 Boston Post Road in Westbrook.
