Fredrick Fowler


Fredrick Stacey Fowler, 92, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Nov. 18, 2023. Born in Derby on Sept. 3, 1931, to Harold and Elizabeth Fowler, he was the second of two children.

In addition to being a veteran of the U.S. National Guard, Fred worked as a sales representative for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in New Haven for 25 years. He was a communicant at Saint Mark the Evangelist Church in Westbrook and established the Tuesday Breakfast program at the Westbrook Senior Center. He loved to go freshwater fishing, work with his hands, and spend time with his family. Fred was immensely loved by everybody he met. A grand storyteller, Fred would light up the room with conversation and laughter.

He is predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth (Conroy) Fowler; father, Harold L. Fowler; and brother, Henry “Hank” N. Fowler. Fred’s memory will be carried on through his wife of 72 years, Louise “Livi” Fowler; his daughters, Nancy Jasuirkowski and Deborah Yazo; his four grandchildren: Jenelle (Jasuirkowski) Gast, Joseph Jasuirkowski III, Stacey Yazo, and Colleen Yazo; as well as five beautiful great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, at Saint Mark the Evangelist Church, 222 McVeigh Road in Westbrook. Burial will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, Horse Hill Road in Westbrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred’s name to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
