11/02/2023 04:51 PMBeverley C. Thorpe, 76, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 18. Born on Aug. 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ernest R. Thorpe and Eva Lucille (Washburn) Thorpe.
Beverley worked for over 40 years at the Southern New England Phone Company. She was a longstanding member of the Westbrook Congregational Church, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Valley Shore Chapter of the Sweet Adelines Chorus.
Beverley is survived by her brother Ernest R. “Bud” Thorpe Jr. and her beloved godchildren, Lucie and Sophie Thorpe.
A celebration of Beverley’s life will take place at 10 a.m. on Nov. 18 at the Westbrook Congregational Church, 1166 Boston Post Road, Westbrook. The family requests, in honor of Beverley, to wear her favorite color, purple. To share a memory with the family, please visit www.rwwfh.com.
