10/12/2023 05:42 PMRob Hills, 63, of Old Saybrook, formerly of Wethersfield, born May 6, 1960, passed away unexpectedly at home of natural causes on Oct. 1, 2023.
He was predeceased by his father, Norman F. Hills. He leaves behind his mother, Joyce Hills of Old Saybrook; his sister, Lori Hills and her husband, Mark Snelgrove of Rocky Hill; his brother Norman “Randy” Hills and his wife, Patricia (Guminiak) Hills of Andover; as well as many nieces and nephews, Jamie Sweeney and his wife Lucia of North Carolina, Kara (Sweeney) Parker and her husband Seth Parker of Maine, and Erin (Sweeney) Cremins of Wethersfield, Kris Hills and his wife Laura (Burrell) Hills of South Windsor, Brittany (Hills) Dilworth and her husband Michael Dilworth of Coventry; and many grandnieces and nephews, Krister, Chloe, Nolan, Emery, Jaxson, Mason, and Otto. He also leaves his sweet and wonderful friend Lesley Smith.
Robby was a very special person who took great pleasure in spending time with his family and friends. Rob was a devoted and loving son to his mom, Joyce, and was a wonderful brother who would drop anything to help out. He was particularly fond of his nieces and nephews and their children. Throughout his life, Rob never gave up trying to help others. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, and the world was a better and brighter place because of his time among us.
There are no calling hours, and a private service will take place at the family’s convenience. Donations in Rob’s name can be given to First Church of Christ, Old Saybrook.
