Maureen Gore

Maureen Gore, 70, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Sept. 14 after a brave battle with cancer with her husband by her side. Maureen was born on March 30, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York.

She moved around a lot as a child, having lived in Stamford, Norwalk, Rowayton, and Wilton. She graduated from Wilton High School. Maureen worked in the tax department for Praxair since 1994, retiring in 2002. She had many other jobs as a contractor when she and her husband formed a consulting company (FG Information Technology). She met the love of her life, her husband, Robert Frinder, in 1995 and was married to him on Dec. 31, 2005.

She loved astrology to figure out people and to exercise and had many passions and hobbies that were self-taught, from crocheting to playing the piano and her favorite pastime of oil pastel painting. Her artwork is hanging in homes across the country, from Maine to Washington State and as far south as Florida and Georgia. Her art can be viewed on her Facebook page under “Fine Art by Maureen.” Maureen was an introvert and an empath. Ever given to the extreme, she was a member of many FaceBook groups for helping people with trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and panic attacks. She would talk them down and get them centered. Above all else, Maureen found her joy in spending time with friends and family, those she kept closest in her heart.

Maureen is survived by her husband and his immediate family. Maureen is predeceased by her father and mother, two brothers, and her cherished yorkiepoo Jacob.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Maureen’s name to a charity of one’s choosing.
