09/07/2023 02:14 PMLena DeLeone Cuomo, 86, of Putney, Vermont, formerly of Middletown Avenue, North Haven, passed away peacefully on Aug. 29 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank L. Cuomo. Lena was born in San Salvatore, province of Benevento, Italy, on Dec. 16, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Agosto and Rosalina DelFerro DeLeone.
Lena had worked for the former Henry Richards of Hamden and later for Borelli’s Farms of North Haven. She enjoyed dinner and dancing.
She was the mother of Anthony Cuomo (Deborah), Frank Cuomo and Robert Cuomo; the Nonnie of Jacqueline Mobilio (Joseph), Kristen Parent (Jason), Tyler Cuomo and the late Stacey Cuomo; great-Nonnie of Maxim Parent, Chase Parent, Scarlett Lanno, and Joseph Mobilio. She is also survived by three sisters in Italy; nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson-in-law Joseph Lanno III.
Lena’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Brattleboro, Vermont area Hospice and Bayada Hospice for all the comfort and care they provided so kindheartedly.
The visiting hours were on Sept. 5, at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home. A graveside service followed in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven.
