Frank Beth


Frank Beth passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Linda and dog Maxwell by his side, July 15, 2023. Frank was 77 years old.

Frank grew up on a farm in Woodstock, Illinois. He served four years in the U.S. Navy, as a corpsman on a destroyer, stationed in Newport, Rhode Island. After leaving the Navy, he stayed in Newport, working various jobs and even helped build the “Newport Bridge.” A very multi-talented man, his hobbies were woodworking and reading which included many different subjects from architecture to model trains. He even designed and built their new kitchen. One of his favorite jobs was working in the gun department at North Cove Outfitters. He was an instructor in firearm safety for the Connecticut Conservative Education/Firearms.

He served in multiple positions on the Old Saybrook Ambulance board of directors. He last worked at MetLife as an annuity analyst, before retiring.

Linda and Frank met in Boca Raton, Florida and were married for 38 wonderful years. They traveled all over Europe and Hawaii and went on numerous cruises. Frank was a genuine, nice man. He was generous and well-liked by everyone he met. He was Linda’s handsome “Sean Connery-looking” husband.

In addition to his wife Linda, Frank is survived by his son Tony Sigo; wife Lisa and grandson Andrew; his brother William Konakowitz and nieces Stacey and Pamela; his brother-in-law Kendrick Hall and his wife Marsha Crosby; niece Jennifer Hall; her children, Marianah and Amadayus; and nephew Ryan Hall and his wife Maria. Frank was predeceased by his mother and father Harvey and Marjorie Beth; mother-in-law Dorothy; Hall and nephew Kenny Hall.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Middlesex Hospital, Yale New Haven Cancer Center, Gladeview Nursing Home, and Hospice for their help during Frank’s difficult journey.

There are no calling hours and services will be private. Donations in his memory can be made to Old Saybrook Ambulance Association, 316 Main St., Old Saybrook, CT 06475. There will be a Celebration of Life from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, held at the Old Lyme Inn.
