06/22/2023 02:02 PMPatricia Jean Vogel, 80, of East Haven, passed away peacefully Feb. 22, surrounded by family. Born in Rochester, New York, Patricia, or “Pat,” was a graduate of SUNY Brockport, New York, a dedicated and gifted educator with a career spanning over four decades. She was also a prominent member of her community and continued to volunteer in the education and literacy space up until the end. Pat spent many hours with friends and loved ones at the Silver Sands Beach Club, as well as the local YMCA. A world traveler and dedicated patriot, Ms. Vogel vehemently believed in the American Experiment and was always grateful to be a United States Citizen.
Ms. Vogel is survived by her two children, son Evan Koster of Fairfield, daughter Amanda Koster of Stone Ridge, New York; her three grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, and Isabelle; and her partner of 30 years, Warren Beardow.
Patricia Vogel will be deeply missed by her family, community, friends, and former students.
