Eunice Bonfiglio Falcigno

Eunice J. Bonfiglio Falcigno, 91, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on May 12 with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late Paul A. Falcigno. Eunice was born in New Haven on Sept. 11, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Anna Petrelli Bonfiglio.

She worked at many places throughout New Haven and later was the co-owner of the former Hodge Podge Crafts and The Silk Petal, both in North Haven. She was a writer, a ham radio operator, and painter, and she enjoyed her Tai Chi classes with her sisters. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved being surrounded by her family, who meant everything to her.

She was the mother of Brett Falcigno and Stacy (Mark) Castiglione; grandmother of Matthew (Marisa) and Steven Castiglione; and sister of Lenore Tiffany and the late Marie Maione and Delores Fiorentino. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends were invited on June 7 to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven, for a Mass of Christian burial. A committal service immediately followed in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of one’s choice.
