05/24/2023 02:21 PMCatherine J. Egan of Branford died May 18 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger M. Egan. Catherine was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Hackensack, New Jersey, daughter of the late Quirino and Frances Werst Vito.
She had worked as an administrative assistant for Calabro Cheese in East Haven and also for H & R Block.
Catherine is survived by her daughters, Sheryl (James) Gagliardi of Branford and Lisa (Marc) Spitzner of Plymouth, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Jaimie (Jake) Lange of Stony Creek, Michael Gagliardi of Branford, and Alicia, Patrick and Kyle Spitzner, all of Plymouth; and her great-grandson Jaxson Lange of Stony Creek; her brothers, Lee Vito of South Carolina, and Russell Vito of Branford.
Her funeral left from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, for a Mass of Christian burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial followed in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. For directions and online memorial, see www.wsclancy.com.
