04/14/2023 11:02 AMRosemary Acampora, 80, of New Haven, passed away peacefully March 22 at Yale- New Haven Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence “Larry” Acampora.
Rosemary was born in New Haven to the late Dominic and Dorothy Lee Calabrese on Valentine’s Day, 1943. She grew up in East Haven and worked for many years as a school secretary at St. Vincent de Paul School. She was very involved at St. Vincent, coaching the cheerleading team and helping at the Youth Center.
Rosemary is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins and her longtime friends, Mike Latella and Rosalie DePalma.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on April 1 in St. Vincent de Paul Church (St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish), 80 Taylor Avenue, East Haven. Burial followed in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
