04/14/2023 11:01 AMLawrence “Larry” Papacoda, 79, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on April 4, at the Grimes Center, New Haven, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Sue Monterosso Papacoda. Larry was born in New Haven on May 18, 1943, the son of the late Michael and Ida Marcucci Papacoda.
A graduate of Eli Whitney Technical School, Larry worked for the State of Connecticut for many years, retiring as a state building official. An avid coin and baseball card collector, he was also a member of the Corvette Club. Larry lived for his family and loved them all unconditionally.
He was the father of Lara Cerilli (Rob) and Anthony L. Papacoda (Danielle); loving Poppy of Emersyn, Vianna, Harlee, and Evie; and brother of Michael Papacoda (Karen).
The visiting hours were on April 10 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven.
