04/14/2023 11:02 AMOn April 6, Henry H. Rowell Sr., 89, a longtime resident of Madison, passed away at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of the late Marjorie (Jones) Rowell. Mr. Rowell was born in Strafford on Sept. 20, 1933, the son of the late Henry D. Rowell and Elizabeth (Perkins) Rowell.
He was the loving father of Henry and Debra Rowell, Jeffrey and Jennifer Rowell of Madison, and Irving Rowell of Guilford. He is survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He was the brother of Lila Rowell. He was predeceased by a brother, Rodney Rowell.
Henry proudly served in his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Rowell and his wife owned and operated the family business, Rowell Cleaning Service since it was started in 1965.
Friends are invited to calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, at the Guilford Funeral Home, followed by burial with military honors at Nut Plains Cemetery, Guilford.
