Ryan Fielding Wynne

Ryan Fielding Wynne, 29, of Van Nuys, California, formerly of Branford, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in California. He was the son of John Fielding Wynne, Jr. and Patricia Zimmerling Wynne. Born in New Haven on May 3, 1993, he was raised in Branford and graduated from Branford High School, where he played on the lacrosse team and was a member of the Model Congress.

He attended the University of Connecticut, then moved to California to pursue his musical interests. He was an accomplished guitarist and wrote many of his own songs. While in California, he developed an interest in hand-made jewelry and started a business selling his creations. He also booked bands and other musical talent for local bars and night clubs in the area. A kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humor, he would do anything to help a friend or a stranger. He had a keen intellect and curious mind, and loved to read and learn about almost any subject. He loved playing music for anyone and everybody. He also enjoyed playing soccer with his cat, Morty. He truly belongs among the wildflowers.

He will forever be loved and remembered by his parents and brother, Kenneth Hadden Wynne (Doris Chemutai) of everywhere; his aunts and uncles, along with his many cousins; and especially his California family and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at St. John Bosco Parish in St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ryan Wynne Scholarship Fund, c/o Branford High School, 185 East Main Street, Branford, CT 06405.
