03/02/2023 10:09 AMKaren (Tenenbaum) Tardy Flatley, 80, a longtime resident of Guilford, and Rockville Centre, New York, passed away on Feb. 25. Karen was born in Montreal to Herta and William Tenenbaum.
She was the wife of Joseph Flatley; the loving mother of daughters Lisa Girard and Sabrina Houlton and of son-in-law Daren Girard; and adored grandmother to Sophie, Teddy, Zach, Eli, and Natalie. She is also survived by brother Cary, sister-in-law Elaine and niece and nephew Rachel and Caleb Tenenbaum. Karen had many dear friends and cousins whom she cherished.
Karen worked for many years in the cable and satellite industries, including as president of PrimeTime24 and running her own company, Karen Tardy Enterprises, a marketing consulting company. Karen enjoyed bridge, taught Mahjong to many, and was a frequent visitor to museums and the library. She loved glass, teapots, cooking, traveling (especially Venice), and being with friends and family.
