Carol Giannotti

Carol Giannotti, 83, was reunited peacefully with the love of her life Robert, on Oct. 30. Carol met her life-long love, Robert, during her teenage years and married “Bob” shortly after. They soon built a life with one another, briefly residing in Branford, then nestling into Clinton, where she worked for the Connecticut Water Company for years.

Together they had three beautiful children: Debbie, Bobby, and Danny, who quickly became the center of their world. Their world got a little bigger with the birth of their grandchildren, Taylor and MacKenzie.

Carol, more commonly known as “Mom,” “Nonny,” or “Care,” lived for her family. She cherished all the moments and memories made throughout her life, whether it was spending time with her four sisters, watching her children succeed or helping her grandchildren grow. She devoted her days to teaching the kids how to maintain the house and cook delicious homemade meals, playing “grocery store,” and Operation, and feeding ducks at the town marina while enjoying her favorite ice cream.

Carol instilled all of her values, kindness and strength in her children and grandchildren while leaving an impact on anyone who knew her. She was always smiling or laughing and never hesitated to jump in and lend a helping hand. Carol will always be remembered for her chopped salad, making the best Thanksgiving meals and fried dough, her stash of moppines, and mostly, for all the love she gave to her family throughout her years.

Carol is reunited in heaven with her son Danny; her son-in-law Jeffrey Miller; and her sister Geraldine Pascale. She lives on through her family on earth: daughter Debbie Giannotti Miller; son Robert Giannotti, Jr. and wife Karyn; grandchildren, Taylor and husband Chris Ziemba, and MacKenzie Miller; as well as her sisters, Nancy Suess and husband John, Victoria Abate, and Theresa and husband Ronald DuVall.

Carol was a light in this world who will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

Calling hours for Carol will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E Main St, Clinton. A memorial service prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. during calling hours.

Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter in memory of Carol.
