Margaret, known as “Marge” to her friends, was a caregiver for most of her life. She began with her siblings and children, moving on to loving relationships with her grandchildren. During her stay as a resident at Peregrines in Clinton, she was the prom queen, which was such a great moment! She moved to Artis Senior Living in Branford, and became an ambassador, guiding other residents in the facility. Over the last few years, she was lovingly cared for at Mary Wade Nursing Home. A special thank you to Mary Wade and Connecticut Hospice, as they were wonderful.

Family and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Oct. 4 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Donations may be made to the CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford CT 06405 or the Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave., New Haven CT 06513, in memory of Margaret Canna.
